This picture means more to me than most people realize. It’s not just me in front of a backdrop at Uprise — it’s a glimpse of the dream I’ve been carrying for years. My dream is to travel, speak to college campuses, and share my story so others know they can push through whatever life throws at them.
That smile you see? It’s real. But don’t let it fool you — behind it is stress, exhaustion, and sacrifice. Being an entrepreneur isn’t easy. Every day I’m grinding through responsibilities, decisions, and deadlines. On top of that, I’m living long-distance from my wife and son, fighting through lawyers, immigration, and all the battles most people never see. Some days it feels like I’m running out of steam.
But here’s the truth: I won’t stop. I’m sacrificing now because I believe it will pay off later — for my family and for the future we’re building. It’s hard on all of us, but that’s the price of chasing something bigger.
I love being part of society. I love working. And even when it feels like the weight might break me, I remind myself: pressure creates diamonds.
This isn’t just a smile in front of a backdrop. It’s a reminder that the dream is still alive. And one day, it won’t just be a dream — it’ll be my reality.
To my wife and my son — I love you more than words, and I’ll be there soon. Every bit of this journey is for you. ❤️
🎧 Most people see me DJing and think this was always the dream… but the truth is, the original dream looked a lot different. I used to imagine myself in a band—on a tour bus, rocking stages across the country. But deep down, I knew that dream wasn’t built for someone like me. My disability made that kind of stage impossible… and for a while, that crushed me. Then, about 9 years ago, I felt God shift my perspective. Maybe I wasn’t meant to sing on stage… but I could still stand on one—in my own way. If I couldn’t be the frontman of a band, maybe I could become the kind of speaker who moves people with words instead of music. That dream started to unfold. United Cerebral Palsy gave me my first stage. Then came TV, radio, and even a college crowd at Shenandoah University. It felt like I had found my tour bus—just heading down a different highway. Then COVID hit… and everything I’d worked for came to a halt. But lately, the fire’s been growing again. That itch to get back out there. To speak. To inspire. And for the first time in a long time—I felt like it was time to speak this dream back into existence. Even this YouTube channel… it was a dream I sat on for years. And now? It’s growing by the day. People are watching. Listening. Connecting. And that makes me believe that maybe I’m not just dreaming anymore—maybe I’m finally living it. Please FOLLOW: youtube.com/@DillonStrouse So here I am. Saying it out loud: I’m still chasing that tour bus. Not as a singer. Not as a rockstar. But as a speaker with a story that proves nothing is impossible. Showed up to DJ an 8th grade dance…
My cousin’s son showed up dressed like he had a Grammy nomination.
I brought the beats—he brought the energy.
Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. This kid’s got presence. 🔥
