Last week I filled out a form which said “wait list” to something called The Founders Table.

It was the first I’d seen of it but thought it was cool.

I was expecting that “maybe” I would be on a wait list for a few months & then get selected if the stars aligned 6 months down the line.

22 mins later I received an invite to my calendar for a breakfast in Gold Coast at 9am today. Of course, there was no world I was going to miss the opportunity.

Sometimes it’s easy to forget the power of surrounding yourself with others who speak the same language as you.

Today I got reminded that I need to find more people in my network who speak my language.

It’s very easy to get stuck in your own world of hustle and grind, trying to solve every problem on your own.

The game of business can be lonely and very difficult most of the time but that’s why it’s so rewarding when you break through obstacles and overcome challenges.

If business “success” was easy then everyone would do it and when something is easy, then it is not as desirable.

If something is difficult, it means less people do it.

I’m thankful I have 2 other directors who I get to share my thoughts and challenges with every single day through this journey but today was a breath of fresh air.

Although only 2 hours, I gained some little nuggets to take away and implement, sitting around a table eating breakfast with 8 other founders and 2 brothers who successfully sold a business for $180M.

Perhaps the biggest thing I took away from today is a reminder that I need to stay patient and keep sticking at “the thing” for as long as possible, “winning” first before moving to the next chapter.

The next chapter for me is talking about business and wanting to build things to help others in business but today confirmed that I’m not quite there yet.

I want to be in the next chapter now but it’s not time for that yet. That time will come, with more reps, more work and most importantly more patience.

Thanks Franks Greeff & Jacques Greeff for hosting & to the other 8 founders who came along. I hope many others are privileged enough to take advantage of this kind of rare opportunity.

Thanks for playing📈🤝
