It’s in the quiet moments no one sees, the way you show up for yourself when it would be easier not to. The tiny choices, the beliefs you decide no longer fit, the boundaries you draw even when your voice shakes. That’s where the real change is.

There’s no neat little finish line for growth. No moment where you finally “arrive.” It’s layer after layer, question after question, pulling yourself closer to the person you know you’re meant to be.

And maybe this is the part you need to hear:
your greatest reward will never be in what you own, or what others think of you. It’s in waking up one day, catching your own reflection, and feeling proud of the person staring back.

Gizmo and I have been a little MIA lately… 💭
We’ve been soaking up precious time with Kyle’s mom and sister while they visited. Living so far from family can feel incredibly lonely, so having them here filled our hearts in ways we didn’t even realize we needed. 💕

I also never expected wedding planning to be such an emotional rollercoaster. Losing my dad on New Year’s Eve, and my mum before that, means the thought of my happiest day without them is almost too much to bear. Every time I try to plan, the tears come. It’s a strange mix of love, excitement, and grief all in one. 🌿✨

But tomorrow… I want to bring some light and fun back into this space. Gizmo and I have something really exciting planned, a unique little competition to give back to YOU, the incredible flock who’s been there for us through it all. 🐦💛

PRE-WARNING ⚠️
You may hear some strange new noises coming from Gizmo… namely, grunts. Now before your filthy, cheeky little minds dive headfirst into the gutter, let me explain! 😅

Kyle and I are officially on a fitness mission, because let’s face it… parrots live forever!

Once upon a time, we were actually fit humans. I danced my whole life and even ran a dance school back in England. Kyle was hitting hoops and lifting weights like a champ. Then the pandemic hit and while some people used that time to get shredded… we used it to get breaded. If baking were an Olympic sport, we’d be gold medallists. 🥇🍞

Fast forward to us wheezing halfway up the stairs like we just climbed Everest. I know some of you can relate right? 🫠

Last year we tried to start our fitness journey… until Kyle decided to dramatically break his ankle during his first basketball practice. But now, finally planning our wedding we said ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

So, we dove headfirst into the glorious world of P90X. Yes, the classic. Yes, it’s full of cringey dad jokes. Yes, Gizmo and I absolutely live for that level of cheese 🧀🐦

We’re on Day 4 and we’re officially sore in muscles we didn’t even know existed. Like… who knew your eyelids could ache?

But honestly, it feels GOOD to be moving again. It’s giving “midlife transformation montage” energy and I’m here for it.

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to get back on the fitness train… THIS IS IT. Let’s suffer…I mean, sweat together. 💪🏼
