「恋愛レボリューション21」は、2000年代初頭にモーニング娘。の代表曲として広く親しまれ、振付やフォーメーションとともに“時代を象徴するアンセム”として知られる楽曲である。
本企画では、この楽曲を単なる懐メロとしてではなく、現代のティーンの視点から再解釈。
Popteenモデルたちが音楽・ダンス・ファッション・アティテュードを通して、自分たちなりの“ラブレボ”を表現。
「平成レトロ＝懐かしむもの」ではなく、
“今の女の子が自分のスタイルで着こなし、踊り、表現できるカルチャー”として再提示することを目指している。

■参加モデル
本企画には、Popteenで活躍するモデル10名が参加。
向井怜衣、川野明愛、藤田みあ、代田萌花、土屋惺来、相塲星音、田中陽菜、樋口こなつ、辻加純、
森下由葵

それぞれ異なる個性を持つメンバーが集まり、“完成されたアイドル”ではなく、“今を生きる女の子たちのリアルな表現”として本楽曲に向き合う。

♫“Renai Revolution 21” × We Girls from Popteen / Newtro
“Renai Revolution 21” became widely recognized as one of Morning Musume’s signature songs in the early 2000s, known as a defining anthem of its era through its choreography and dynamic formations.
In this project, the song is not treated simply as a nostalgic hit, but is reinterpreted through the perspective of today’s teens.
Models from Popteen express their own version of “Love Revolution” through music, dance, fashion, and attitude.
Rather than framing Heisei-era culture as something to look back on,
this project reintroduces it as a living culture—
something that today’s girls can wear, dance, and express in their own way.

About the Models
This project features 10 models active in Popteen:
Rei Mukai, Mei Kawano, Mia Fujita, Moeka Shirota, Seira Tsuchiya,
Seine Aiba, Hina Tanaka, Konatsu Higuchi, Kasumi Tsuji, Yuki Morishita

Each member brings a unique personality, coming together not as “polished idols,”
but as a real and honest expression of girls living in the present moment.

原曲「青空」は、THE BLUE HEARTS が1989年に発表した代表曲のひとつ。
自由や希望、そして個人の感情をストレートな言葉で描いたこの楽曲は、世代を越えて多くのリスナーの心に響き続け、現在もライブやカバーを通して歌い継がれています。
「青空」は、ロックが持つ衝動と解放感を象徴する一曲として、日本の音楽シーンに強い影響を与えてきました。

今回カバーでボーカルを務めるのは、シンガーソングライター きゃない。
そしてアレンジを手がけたのは、プロデューサー 鹿3。
原曲へのリスペクトを軸に、鹿3が音像やサウンドの質感を現代的に整え、ロックのエネルギーを現在のリスナーに届く形へと再構築しました。
シンプルで力強いサウンドの中に、きゃないの飾らない歌声が重なることで、原曲の持つ“明るさの中にある感情”が、より輪郭を持って浮かび上がります。

本作のミュージックビデオでは、広がる青空と都市の風景を背景に、空へと舞う鳥や光のモチーフを通して、楽曲が持つ解放感を描いています。


The original “Aozora” is one of The Blue Hearts’ signature songs, released in 1989.
With its honest lyrics expressing freedom, hope, and raw emotion, the song continues to resonate across generations and is still performed and covered today.
Aozora stands as a defining track in Japanese rock, symbolizing its energy and sense of liberation.

For this cover, vocals are performed by singer-songwriter Kyanai, with arrangement by producer Shika 3.
Rooted in deep respect for the original, Shika 3 brings a modern touch to the sound, reimagining its rock energy for today’s listeners.
Kyanai’s honest and unfiltered voice blends with the simple yet powerful arrangement, bringing out the emotions that lie beneath the song’s brightness.

In the music video, the sense of freedom is expressed through expansive blue skies and urban landscapes, with motifs of birds soaring into the sky and light capturing the spirit of the song.

今回Newtroがリバイバルしたのは、
Steady&Co.が2001年にリリースした「Only Holy Story」。

冬の夜を舞台にした男女の物語と、
温かさと切なさが同居するメロディは、
2000年代初頭の日本のヒップホップ／R&Bシーンを象徴する一曲として、
世代を越えて愛され続けてきました。

本作では、原曲の冬の情景や温度感を損なうことなく、
“いまの都市”で自然に鳴らすことをテーマに再構築。
アレンジはmaeshima soshiが担当し、
過度な刷新ではなく「現在に置き直す」アプローチで音像をアップデートしています。

ヴォーカルにはRin音とセリザワヒナタを迎え、
原曲の男女掛け合い構造を、いまの世代の感覚で再提示。
二人の声が交差することで、楽曲に新しい親密さと息遣いが生まれました。

ミュージックビデオでは、雪が舞う都市の夜を舞台に、
観覧車やイルミネーションがきらめく冬景色の中で、
若い二人の繊細な距離感を描写。
“冬の記憶”と“いまの都市感”が交差する映像表現にも注目してください。

This Newtro release revives “Only Holy Story,”
a signature track originally released in 2001 by Steady&Co..

Set against a winter night, the song’s story of two voices crossing paths,
along with its blend of warmth and quiet melancholy,
made it a defining track of Japan’s early 2000s hip-hop and R&B scene—
and a winter favorite across generations.

In this cover, our goal was to honor the original winter atmosphere
while allowing the song to resonate naturally within today’s urban sound.
The arrangement by maeshima soshi
updates the textures and beats with a modern sensibility,
not by reinventing the song, but by gently placing it in the present.

Vocals are performed by Rin音 and セリザワヒナタ,
reimagining the original male–female vocal structure for a new generation.
Rin音’s conversational flow brings a grounded emotional realism,
while Serizawa Hinata’s transparent and delicate tone captures the quiet solitude of the city.
Together, their voices add a new breath and contemporary intimacy to the track.

The music video unfolds in a snow-filled city night,
with ferris wheels and winter illuminations framing the subtle distance between two young people.
The coexistence of neon lights and stillness visually expands the song’s emotional temperature.
