Hi Friends, As many of you have likely heard, Amtrak has begun the planning process for splitting itself into three distinct entities. For more information on this, please watch @alanthefisher video on the topic from February he explains it a lot better than I ever could https://youtu.be/g53xTWjESyE?si= The gist of it, however is that this is not good news and this needs to stop. It’s not too late. Please submit strongly worded public comment to Amtrak, and please write to your members of Congress to tell them that this nonsense must stop. It’s long past time. Do we put the brakes on this harebrained idea and when we work together, we can. Amtrak is a vital public service, and we have no tolerance for the boards games. Please join me in standing up for the millions who take Amtrak every year
What a rare find! To accommodate the expected student crowds returning from Thanksgiving break, UMass transit sent 2 buses for it to B79 run on Sunday afternoon, including 60 foot articulated #3401.
