I'm an ugly little frenchman who makes YTP, YTPMV, and whatever else comes to mind (including occasional stuff that may make you go "wait, why did I subscribe to this channel again?").
Yes, I still make videos. New stuff comes around at a very slow rate but it does come around. Also I guess I've had this channel for over 10 years now and that counts for something. Right?
I've kept most of my 2010-2011 videos up on the channel for archival purposes but boy were they terrible...

Due to an unexpected surge in viewership on a year-old video of mine -- always the Steamed Hams edit for some reason -- I now have over 6000 subscribers!!
Welcome all new subscribers :) I hope you find more stuff you like on my channel. I kinda feel bad that I don't have anything planned to celebrate... it's been a while since I've reached one of those milestones.

Happy new year everyone!
Time for some new year updates:
0- I've been somewhat quiet this year, compared to the last 2 or 3 years*. I guess real life has been pretty busy, but for once I'd also say it's been pretty good overall :)
1- I've got a couple of finished videos ready for publication. They're both collab entries awaiting the release of the full collab vids to be published. I think they're both pretty neat and I'm looking forward to allowing you all to see them :)
First one should be out pretty soon if not delayed again.
Second one is being pushed back to an unknown date, possibly in february.
2- I also have a YTP "just for the sake of making YTP" in the works. Kinda stuck at a duration of < 30 seconds currently. Might release as a mini-YTP or try to at least reach for a 1-min mark, not sure yet.
3- Thinking of starting a new One-Second-Of-Video-A-Day-For-A-Year. I like how those projects usually help me come up with ideas for standalone videos throughout the year. Also, since 2024 is a leap year, it could be my first 366-second OSOVADFAY video!

*Edit: Looking back, I've released just as many videos this year as I did last year. 2022 had been pretty quiet too apparently.

Woah.
Over the last 5 hours, the viewcount on my latest video (which is a week old btw) has increased five-fold.
I am fully aware that this is just the algorithm snowballing over some shameless bandwagon-jumping on my part, but I can't say I'm not thrilled! This has made my day, if not my entire year, and I do realize how pathetic that sounds, but stuff like that suddenly reminded me of why I loved making YTP so much ten years ago.
Thanks YouTube, I take back everything I ever said about you being an unfair broken mess of a platform :^)

Just to clarify: I don't intend to stop making videos altogether. It's just that I won't be starting any new one-second-of-video-a-day challenges for a while.
If anything, that means I should be able to spend more time and energy on smaller, simpler projects, so (maybe) look forward to some more frequent uploads !

As you may have gathered from the lack of uploads lately, I'm taking a bit of a break from videos.
Too busy with work, too depressed, yadda-yadda y'all know that song.
At least I can still find enough time and energy to keep making 1-second videos day after day, so there's that to look forward to by the end of the year.

No VidLii compilation this year. I didn't really produce anything that could fit in a rapid-fire compilation like the 2 previous years, and it doesn't seem like most of y'all want to watch those anyway.
I DID make new stuff on there, though. Just go check it out for yourselves if you're curious.

Remember back in 2015 when I made up, then took, a challenge consisting in making one second of video a day for a year?

Well I've been doing that again for a good chunk of this year, and it's turning out pretty good this time around (unlike the 2018 attempt), so look forward to the finished video coming out some time in December.
Also, since it looks like it might become a regular thing on this channel I'm thinking of calling it "OSOVADFAY" for shorts. Rolls right off the tongue, don't you think?
