Beautiful Bad and Bizarre

Hello Everyone!

I hope you’re all keeping well! I’ve just had a lovely few days in Dorset (what a beautiful part of the country!). It was certainly a hot week (although I don’t think anything could beat the heatwave we had a few weeks ago!) but it was wonderful to get away for a little break, recharge the batteries and enjoy a change of scenery.

This coming week is also something I’m really looking forward to because my best friend is coming to stay, so we’ll be having a bit of “Bombshell time” plenty of old films, lots of chatting and, yes… probably a glass or three of Champagne 🥂🍾🎬

In between all of that, I’ll be getting stuck into the research for my next BB&B video before moving on to the editing. It’s about someone I’ve adored for many years, so I’m really looking forward to bringing their story to the channel. I do hope you’ll enjoy it when it’s ready.

Good news! After a bit of a battle with technology, a video will finally be going live at 6pm tonight 🤞🏼I take nothing for granted!

I’d originally hoped to have it ready for Sunday, but I managed to completely overload my laptop and phone with far too many huge video and image files. Then YouTube decided it wasn’t in the mood to upload at all, so yesterday was spent deleting files, moving things around and generally trying to persuade technology to cooperate!

Thankfully, everything is finally sorted, the video is uploaded and ready to go. I may even have celebrated with a bar of Tony’s Chocolonely… purely for morale of course 🍫🤭

I can’t wait to share this one with you, I love all the people I feature and this person is no exception - they truly have a piece of my heart ❤️ as in the tradition of BB&B - I’m keeping them a surprise until 6pm, but I really hope you will enjoy the journey 🥰

P.S. No, this isn’t an ad for Tony’s Chocolonely. As you know despite several offers I don’t do sponsorships, but if Tony’s ever came knocking, I think we could probably work something out… 🍫😂

Well despite what this photograph might suggest, I haven’t been off dilly dallying on the beach for the past fortnight! 🤭

I just wanted to pop in and reassure you I haven’t disappeared. I’ve been hard at work researching and writing for the next video (I did change my mind half way through as I’d started on someone else but this particular person kept metaphorically speaking, kept tapping me on the shoulder!) and as always, it’s taking rather longer than I ever expect. I won’t deny that the recent spell of intense heat has slowed me down somewhat. Rain has never stopped play, but the heat certainly has! I hope you’ve all managed to keep cool and hydrated! What a struggle sleeping has been!

Anyway, the person I’ve chosen may not be a household name to everyone, but they lived an incredibly fascinating life and were both inspirational and a wonderful talent.

Thank you, as always, for your patience and continued support. It really does mean the world to me, and I can’t wait to share their story with you when the time is right ❤️

I hope you’re all doing well and enjoying a lovely Sunday x

I wanted to share a few photos from a quiet visit I made this week to Diana Dors and Alan Lake. I hadn't been there since just before Christmas, so they were definitely due some fresh flowers!

I always find these visits very peaceful, a moment to slow down and reflect. One of those little unplanned moments happened as I picked up my phone to take a photo of the roses… a bumblebee suddenly appeared and settled there as if it belonged, and it was HUGE! It really made me smile. The previous few days had been really stormy and rainy, but Wednesday was an absolute delight, it was sunny and warm, feeling like Spring had already sprung!

Have you ever had one of those unexpected little things happen that just stays with you? 🌹🐝

I’m currently working on a new video, and I hope it will be ready to upload soon xxxx

Just popping in with a little hello and a big thank you!

I know it’s been quiet on the channel for a while. Things have been a bit challenging behind the scenes, so I’ve needed to step back and focus on life away from YouTube for a while. I can’t say exactly when I’ll be back to uploading just yet, but I truly hope it won’t be too long. I really do miss being here and chatting with you all.

Thank you so much to everyone who has left kind comments, sent lovely messages, and continued to support the channel. It honestly means more to me than I can properly express.

Over the holidays, I did manage to enjoy some much-needed comfort viewing, revisiting a few favourite films and discovering a couple of new ones too, which was absolutely lovely! (You may spot a couple of them in the photos!) Did you watch any old movies over Christmas? I’d love to hear what you chose and which ones you loved.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year, and I wish every single one of you a happy, healthy and truly wonderful 2026. ❤️

Thank Crunchie It’s Friday! 😄

It’s been one of those weeks, non-stop and barely a moment to catch my breath! But I wanted to share a quick update with you all.

On Tuesday, 19th August, I managed to pop by and leave some roses for Mary Millington on the 46th anniversary of her passing. I arrived quite late in the day, and it didn’t look like anyone else had been. As many of you know, Mary was the subject of the very first video on this channel, just a short one, only a couple of minutes long. At some point, I’d love to put together a more in-depth video about her life.

I haven’t had a chance to keep up with comments this week, but I’ll be diving in for a proper catch-up very soon. Thank you so much for your patience and continued support, it really is appreciated!
