📖 Book Review: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

I read The Alchemist during one of the toughest phases of my life, and it truly became more than just a book for me — it felt like a companion, a guide, and a source of healing. The story of Santiago, a young shepherd who sets out in search of his “Personal Legend,” reminded me that dreams are not foolish illusions but powerful forces that give meaning and direction to our lives.
Coelho’s writing is simple yet deeply philosophical. Through Santiago’s journey, he explores themes of destiny, faith, love, and self-discovery. What touched me most was how the novel speaks about listening to our hearts and trusting the signs that life gives us. It taught me that every setback is a lesson and that our purpose — no matter how distant — is always within reach if we have the courage to follow it.
For me, this book was not just an inspiring read; it was a turning point. It rekindled my belief that human life without ambition is meaningless, and that we all have our own “treasure” waiting to be found — not necessarily gold, but something far greater: inner peace and fulfillment.
