I just spent the afternoon packing up all 12 of the 13 GIVEAWAY boxes. As you can see from swiping through these 3 photos, one lonely Paula's Choice 7% Ectoin is still missing a beautiful winner. Actually, all 13 winners were chosen but one gal never replied back. 😢 I've waited over a week, messaged her and posted another update in hopes of a reply. I feel bad because I'm sure she would LOVE knowing she won, but perhaps she isn't checking her messages or is super busy. But since it's been nearly 10 days, I figured that was proper time to wait. Soooo, I've already received MULTIPLE emails from brands today encouraging us to BUY MORE MORE MORE from them today because they are celebrating SINGLES DAY and many are offering $11 off. Oh yay, what a savings LOL (insert eye roll). But I have not seen ONE EMAIL yet from brands that are remembering VETERANS DAY, which is TODAY!!!??? So did we just forget about our Veterans who selflessly served their country and now it's all about "BUY THIS, BUY THAT if you're single......" I mean, I get it that brands are in the business to get people to buy from them. I personally love buying makeup and skincare. And I'm totally fine if singles day is on the same day as Veterans Day. But seeing that not one brand has even mentioned Veterans Day today is sad. Perhaps there are some brands who are celebrating our Vets but I have NOT seen any yet today.

To clarify, I personally DO NOT need any recognition whatsoever and I'm not personally offended...nothing like that. But I am so thankful for our brave men and women who have served and who currently serve our country. It IS a sacrifice and not just for the military member but for their families as well. So since I'm not seeing support for our heroes today and brands are pushing singles day instead, today I'd like to say THANK YOU for your service!!! Even though I'm not a big brand nor do I have a huge YouTube channel, please know that I am thinking of you and appreciate you and your family and your selfless service to our country.

I served in the United States Air Force for 11 years active duty. This photo was when I was deployed to Zagreb Croatia with the United Nations. I worked in the Emergency Room as a medic and then my last 4 years of service, I was an Instructor for Emergency Medical Technicians and Nursing course. But I was medically separated after a crappy neck surgery. Being in the military was the BEST job I've ever had! I lived in Germany and got to travel the world. I LOVED the military and was sad to have to leave after 11 years. But I'm truly grateful for the experience, the education and opportunity to serve my country. If you have kids considering the military, the Air Force is the best LOL 🤪 and I highly encourage it.

Anywho, since brands and nearly every email I'm receiving today is to promote their marketing and buying more and recognizing Singles Day only, I'm choosing to celebrate Veterans Day and just know that YOU ARE APPRECIATED!! Singles Day will NEVER replace Veterans Day!
