I started trading back in 1996 and its been a tremendous journey, Like the great Jimmy Buffet song A Pirate looks at 40 says..”I made enough money to buy Miami, but I pissed it away so fast. Never meant to last, never meant to last”

After 25 years of trading full-time, one might expect that I would possess vast levels of knowledge on trading. However, it seems that in many aspects of life, less is more and little is better. At this point in my trading career, when I encounter new traders, I become excited because I want to reach them before they become overwhelmed, disillusioned, and, even worse, overly confident.




If someone new came to me and said, "John, I don’t know anything about the markets. Please teach me; I want to learn how to trade."

The first thing I would tell them is that at least 95% of traders fail at day trading, and that they would do much better by trading and buying things to hold longer-term, but based on the methodology that I teach.

What it really comes down to is not trading. The markets are controlled and run by algorithms, black boxes, and AI. How are you going to compete with that?

Well, that 25 years of trading experience has become very valuable in terms of the knowledge that I was able to discard, and now the only thing left is a pure logical mathematical trading system that is based on just three core setups. If you wait for these three quality setups, you can increase your odds of success exponentially.



These core setups define major and minor pivot zones in the market. A pivot zone is when the market changes direction or violates the current trend line that has been established.



Being in these zones and then looking for divergence is crucial.

In this lesson/outline, I'll write these down for you step-by-step with examples. I also have to mention how many people are taking advantage of the Prop Trading entry path into the markets, meaning you don’t even have to trade your own money. You can apply these techniques and follow the steps, and upon meeting the qualification/evaluation account past the required profit threshold without stopping out, you can get a funded account that you trade exactly the same way. So, this is an excellent way to get involved in futures trading, but if you have your own futures account, that’s fine also.
