You know, I wish someone had told me back in college that makeup can be a career.
When I recently went back to my college to talk about women entrepreneurship, it really hit me — how many young women still don’t realize that their passion can become their profession.
When I was younger, I was honestly a little lost. I didn’t know what financial independence really meant. I thought success only looked one way — maybe a corporate job, a steady paycheck, or something that sounded “safe.” But no one ever told me that creativity could be just as powerful, that doing what you love can also give you stability, purpose, and confidence.
Today, I see makeup not just as beauty, but as a form of expression, skill, and entrepreneurship. It’s art, it’s business, and it’s empowerment. I’ve realized that financial independence isn’t just about earning money — it’s about having choices, freedom, and the ability to design your own life.
If even one girl listening to this believes that she can turn her passion into a career — whether it’s makeup, art, fashion, or anything she loves I’ll feel like I’ve done something meaningful. Because that’s what this is all about: inspiring women to believe that they can.
So if you’re someone who’s ever felt unsure, or if you’ve been told that your dreams aren’t “practical,” this is your reminder they are. Go all in. You owe it to yourself.
