Some artists just breathe music all their lives. Junior Kenna, born on January 19, 1995, and coming from a musically gifted family, is one such artist. He lives in the Netherlands and has Surinamese and Indonesian roots.
At the age of ten he discovered his passion for rap, which later developed into a strong affinity for reggae and dancehall music in which he found his true strength. As he developed as an artist, he added his passion for urban and Afro influences to his musical repertoire, making Junior Kenna a versatile artist.
In mid-2014, he emerged onto the scene, competing in the Benelux Reggae Contest in Antwerp, Belgium, where he claimed second place. This breakthrough led to numerous performances across the Netherlands and beyond.
Junior Kenna released his EP Gyallery on May 10, 2019, which featured his breakthrough hit “Bubble It.” Two years later, he released his debut album Unbounded, featuring his second hit, “If Not Today’.
