When I feel gloomy, irritable, or discouraged by the pace of the world, I close my eyes and imagine what it would be like to return to this life for just one more dayā¦ after being gone.
Suddenly, the things I once overlooked feel sacred.
The warmth of a cup between my hands - how could I have forgotten this comfort?
The gentle clinking of a spoon on porcelain - like a tiny lullaby I never noticed before.
Petals floating on morning coffee - unnecessary, impracticalā¦ and utterly perfect...
