It's been 8 months since I posted anything on YouTube, but I haven't been idle. There is a LOT coming to the channel in 2025:
✳️ YouTube Ads should be turned off very soon. YouTube makes it VERY difficult to not have ads. I have had to wait for 500 subscribers just to be allowed to sign up for the ad program, just so I can opt out of ads!! 🤨 ✳️ A new Meditative Instruments website is under construction and should be complete in less than a month. My released audiobooks will be available to freely read, and will be databased, organized, and keyworded on a verse-by-verse basis. Perfect for studying. ✳️ 3 more audiobooks are in the works to be completed and published 1st-half of 2025: The Avadhuta Gita, Bhagavad Gita, and Tao Te Ching. ✳️ All books will be formally published & available on all platforms, like Audible, Spotify, Kindle, and in ye-olde printed book form. 😎 ✳️ I will be starting a weekly podcast dedicated to Meditations, verse discussions, and meditative flute music. My plan is to release 2-per-week, though it may take me a bit to get my workflow perfected. 🐢 ✳️ I will be writing & publishing articles on meditation and the philosophies of revered scriptures like the Ashtavakra Gita, Bhagavad Gita, et al. ✳️ Meditative Instruments will soon be welcoming a new official member: a fellow musician, writer, and speaker.
It's taken a LOT of time to get all this moving; much more than I expected. Meanwhile, your views of The Ashtavakra Gita have taken it as high as 3rd-place in YouTube's view rankings, a very unexpected milestone. I appreciate the wonderful comments & support and am excited to bring you even more books & meditations in the very near future.
I have been repeatedly asked to upload more flute music. I have to admit, I stopped because doing it had become a chore. Write an interesting melody, write supporting background music, record a multi-track song, do mixing & mastering, construct a music video, write video descriptions, the list goes on. LOTS of work.
Instead, I will be starting a Meditative Flute Music playlist where I play "Solo Flute Meditations" on various flutes, including Bansuri, Shakuhachi, Ney, Native American (including ancient Pueblo / Anasazi), and other interesting flutes. Emphasis on SOLO flute, played during (and for) meditation. No complex background music. The "video" will be be a collage of images I take myself (sample photos included). My goal is to release 2 per week on YouTube and Spotify. Over time, this will grow to an appreciable collection of simple meditative flute music.
When is all this going to kick off? Soon™. In the next coming days and weeks. There are so many things going on at once in preparation for launch. I am not ready to commit to a hard date yet, but it's getting close enough to feel comfortable letting y'all know about it! 😄
