Welcome to the channel! Running shoe reviews after real miles, not just a first steps spec reading & hyping you up just to sell you to buy.
No fluff, just straight-up insights on fit, ride, and whether a shoe is actually worth your money. If a shoe deserves the hype, you'll know. If it's bad, you'll know.
Running shoes are our tools. Respect the sport & community first before consumerism. Running, fitness (your body), the people/community matter more than hype, trends.

Man, the @TheFODRunner just reviewed this yesterday. https://youtu.be/x_UbQHJ3hdU?si=Z28m6...
At the same time the price of the Feidan Challenger 5 went down to P1969 on shopee or around $32 usd. (10.10 Shopee sale). Thanks to a buddy from reddit letting me know about it.
If you're thinking about getting the Yueying 5 Pro for faster/uptempo stuff plus long runs, I think you'll be getting more for the money spent with the Feidan 5.

Someone asked about the stability issues they read on the Wind 3 TR — and also about neutral vs. stability shoes, and who actually needs true stability shoes. They saw a video so I also checked it (ground contact time, form) then I read the comments, might have stalked some folks to see they might have posted some of their running.
After that, here’s what I said:
Just because you pronate or supinate doesn’t automatically mean you need stability shoes. A lot of people just naturally pronate or supinate, that’s normal. The ones who truly over-pronate or over-supinate already know it, they’re not the ones asking about neutral shoes in the comments.
Most of the complaints you see online usually come from runners who are sore & have related the soreness to the shoe instead of other factors like their load, intensity etc.. their form might have sucked coz of underlying fatigue or their new & form will improve overtime, some just need to fix their form period.
Some just have some strength issues like a weak back (posterior chain like back to glutes, hams, calves). Some have form issues, they have more ground contact time, not efficient stride to cadence. Some have musclular imbalances, they've become stronger somewhere & other parts can't keep up. All the above means not necessarily the shoe is unstable.
Sometimes the phrase “it’s not the shoe, it’s you” really fits. A shoe doesn't run on it's own. Plus, some runners do need real stability shoes, but that’s a smaller group than you might think & again they're not the ones complaining in the comments as they're not their to check out a neutral shoe to begin with.
So, take every comment with context. Be skeptical — if they share videos, check their form. We all run differently, and what doesn’t work for someone else might work perfectly for you or vice-versa.

Finished my marathon last sunday (Bohol International Marathon 2025). Was an amazing experience. Grand & well managed. Had support for tourists like me.
I wasn't trained to go sub 4, though kept it as a stretch goal if the stars aligned. My A goal was 3:59-4:20.. B goal was 4:30+, C goal was just finish.
First 32km was hoping I could maintain 5:45-6:00 pace as I felt great & felt I could start pushing.. but around 29km realized not & pulled back..
Last 10km was getting slapped with the truth and reminded me of all the missed weeks, days, illnesses (Gerd, Ulcers), laziness lol.. Started late just 10 full weeks total instead of the usual 16-18 weeks. The last 10km is the truth - from the beginning of training or lacking. It slaps you with it & you know where you failed. I just had to own it. This wasn't my best but I'm not disappointed - quite happy actually to have done this despite my "excuses" lol.
Official was 4:38 (4:37:55), was at the end of the pack so got to the starting line minutes later. Net time was 4:34:XX.. Failed on the A goal but I'll take the B goal. There was some humidity, my socks were soaking at the first 10km! but there was more than enough water, electrolytes & it was dryer on some parts, even had light rain a bit which helped my HR so no excuses!
This was a wonderful race to actually fail & pull back because you can enjoy the aid stations that were more like feast stations, lots of Lechon, food, fruits, unli sports drinks & water.
It started with a festive vibe so HR was really high with excitement. The route was still scenic despite at dark early hours, I ran a stretch where a plane took off (near an airport) which was cool. Stretches of land untouched by concrete so was quiet on some parts & 'alegre' again on stations.
Used the Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro Low matched with their shorts. I might not be a sub 2.5 hr marathoner the shoes were made for but the shoes were great, not much soreness in the ankles due to the instability when your form breaks down, though I didn't push it when I realized early I can't achieve the A goal so maybe I didn't feel much strain. It overall performed & didn't feel flat near the end.
Amazing event.

Haven’t dropped a new video yet. On deck are long-term reviews of the Peak Up30 4.0 and the Li-Ning Yueyings—but the Yueyings will take a while since I haven’t been running in them much. Most of my training has been in the Peak Up30 4.0 and the Qiaodan Wind 3.0 TR, with some carbon-plated shoes mixed in for long runs.
I’ve been prepping for the Bohol International Marathon this sunday. Funny thing is, I wasn’t even in training mode 12 weeks ago—registered late, so the block was short. Early on I thought I could average a pace of 5:27 to 5:46 min/km for a sub-4 marathon but now it's unlikely. I’ll just aim to finish respectably rather than race it hard. Better undertrained than overtrained I guess.
After the event, I may take a short break to focus on other things before jumping back into the Li-Nings and some new pairs I just ordered.

Got these two this week. Might take a week or so before I drop videos about these two. Gonna take one of them for a run today, don't know which one yet.

Loving the Peak up30 4.0 so far. It's quite nice and falls in the 10k to marathon paces well during workouts. It's not a dedicated 10k or speed shoe but does those short threshold paces in intervals nicely. I did a long run in them which wasn't done when I recorded my video, I found it ok when adding some efforts in the middle of the long run but I remembered it was better with the C202hp. Got me thinking to do a comparison of both. The c202hp is still sold cheaply. Both would be great choices for long distances and steady paced marathon blocks.

Looks exciting. Peak Up30 4.0 is the plated trainer to their up30 4.0 Elite. This is their Deviate Nitro to the Deviate Nitro Elite & the UP30 Pro would be their top tier shoe like the Fast-R.
When I'll try this out when it arrives, I'll just give my first impressions on how it feels. Versus the previous up30 3.0 elite which wasn't something to talk about except the price, this might be better based on the outsole where it has cutouts to give it more flex, reduce weight which hopefully will have better turnover now.
Just looking at the pictures, of the 4.0 & 4.0 Elite, the line where the top & bottom foams meet (where the plate is) looks like it moved back a bit & the plate angle might have been changed, the elite looks to have a plate that's more propulsive. I don't have them in hand yet, we'll see when it arrives.

So now there's a new Anta C202 HP Pro. Interesting...
It's also cheap today this 12.12 sale. Looks like it's a lower stack vs the non pro HP. Not sure if the stack info means with/without the insole. Outsole looks better than the non pro.
Want to know if the plate would be less stiff than the non pro and how the midsole feels, softer vs same firmness. It has some Xtep 260x vibes...
