Can you guess the cost of these fruits/veggies from the Sunday Baratillo in my neighborhood? Note: I used 18:1 Peso to Dollar, it's been hovering around here for a minute.
One year ago yesterday, my cohost was conceived. Today, a year ago, he was a zygote, on his way to becoming a blastocyst, as he traveled the fallopian tube towards the uterus. The science behind all this in no way diminishes the beauty of it, and to be frank, I do consider it a "miracle" of sorts, but not a supernatural one.
We're still in the NICU however, it's just premature/development issues that are requiring some further observation and care, he's had his lungs, kidneys, heart, etc., checked and there are no physical birth defects that require attention, he's just having to grow in to his body (he's still supposed to be in the oven, due date being Feb 16th).
Anywhooo, this is why my production is down, bare with me.
When the dogs know mommy is pissed off because a couple of them (Toby and Silly Dog) peed in the house. They've had a tough week knowing something is wrong and also being left alone more than usual.
The baby is likely to be released from the NICU tomorrow. Praise Athena, Mercury, and Thor, to whom I've made supplications.
I'm planning a video about the experience as a non-believer (my first three kids were all born when I was an evangelical believing Christian).
Our new son was supposed to enter the world mid-Feb, but he had other plans and was born Sunday via c-section about 6 weeks early. He's in the NICU doing well and recovering and getting stronger. Looking to have him home soon, maybe this weekend!!!
I'm so grateful and happy about our precious little one and can't express how amazing it is to be a new dad again (this is #4 for me, #1 for my new wife). Yeah, we got married Saturday, nothing like last a last minute shot-gun wedding, lol....
So, if anyone else has gotten married and had a new baby on the same exact weekend, I'd love to hear your story, lol. I'll make a video about the experience soon, it was wild, to say the least, and my first child born as a non-believer.
He is so beautiful I can't tell you in words!
P.S. Obviously, my production is going to go down, bear with me and thank you guys for all the support. I'll still be working, as it's a great distraction (there's not much we can do atm, the NICU allows 2 1-hour visits per day). Cheers and thanks for being part of the community with me!
