To stay warm while running in winter, dress in moisture-wicking layers (avoid cotton), with a tight base layer, insulating mid-layer, and windproof outer shell. Protect extremities with a beanie, neck gaiter, and gloves, and "start cold" to prevent overheating. Focus on covering skin gaps, such as tucking shirts into tights.
