thoughtstuff - Microsoft 365, Teams & Copilot Dev

Hello. I'm Tom Morgan. I write the blog posts at thoughtstuff.co.uk and create the videos on this channel.

I'm a Microsoft MVP and Microsoft Teams Platform Developer.

I help developers to make intelligent communications a universal feature of all applications by building solutions with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Bot Framework, Microsoft Cognitive Services, Azure Communication Services, and more.

I blog about it, I speak about it. I give out code samples to help people get started. I do videos. Hopefully, I can help you too.

Weekly Update 3 July 2023 - M365 Dev Tap, Teams API Billing update, Graph Data Connect pricing, M365 Dev Proxy

Morning everyone! Unfortunately, there was a technical problem this week with the recording of the update, meaning that the only place it now exists is on LinkedIn (as it was live-streamed there at the same time). If it wasn't such a busy week then I would re-record, but it is, so I can't :(

Here are the links for this week - and if you want to watch the actual video then head over to www.linkedin.com/video/live/urn:li:ugcPost:7081532… and watch it there. Sorry, and thanks for understanding.

If you watch the video you'll know this, but if you don't, then there won't be any episodes for the next 2 weeks, back again on July 24th.

Exciting news! I'm going to be writing a book about building solutions on the Microsoft Teams Development Platform.

I wanted you to be one of the first people to hear about it. As subscribers to this list, I know you are interested in:

- reasons why people should be building applications in Microsoft Teams

- low-code vs pro-code approaches, which is right when and what’s best for you

- how to build, test and deploy bots

- what you can build without needing any development experience

- sample code for pro-development solutions such as in-meeting applications

- design guidance for apps and bots

- tips and tricks to help you get started if you’re new

- and more related Microsoft Teams Development Platform content

That’s why I think you might like this book (once it’s written!). Right now, it’s some way from being ready but I hope to complete the first version in 2021. The working title is: Building and Developing Apps & Bots for Microsoft Teams

If this sounds like a book you would read and you’d like to be notified when it’s available for early-access discount pricing then register your interest at leanpub.com/teamsdev.

What is early-access discount pricing? Simple really. At a point where I think the book is useful, but not complete, I’m going to offer it for sale to a select group of people for a significantly reduced price. Buying the book gives you free updates for the lifetime of the book, so this is a way for you to get a great deal and for me to say thank you for reading my blog.

Once again, a huge thank you for your support in watching these videos, sharing them with others and for all your great feedback. It’s really appreciated and I love our community of Teams Platform Developers! 👊

Stay well,

-tom
