श्रद्धा आफताब केस को अगर हम बारीकी से देखे तो पाएंगे कि ये कहीं से भी लव जिहाद का मामला नज़र नहीं आता, मैं लव जिहाद को इग्नोर नहीं करता लेकिन जरूरी नहीं जहां मुस्लिम लड़का और हिन्दू लड़की हो वहां लव जिहाद हो ये जरूरी नहीं। बजाय इसके आफताब को एक सायको या सिरफिरा आशिक़ कहना सही रहेगा।
दूसरी बात श्रद्धा के जीवन और उसके व्यवहार को देखे जैसा कि उसके दोस्तों ने बताया तो श्रद्धा एक काफी अच्छी लड़की थी, अच्छे विचारों वाली मॉडर्न लड़की उसकी गलती बस यही थी कि वो आफताब से प्यार कर बैठी वो समझ नहीं पाई और वक़्त रहते उस परिस्तिथि से बाहर नहीं निकल सकी। हालांकि उसकी बेवकूफी भी थी कि उसे ये भनक थी कि कुछ ऐसा हो सकता है लेकिन वो वक़्त रहते कदम नहीं उठा पाई।
श्रद्धा की हत्या आफताब के लिए प्री प्लान मर्डर ही था जो उसने खुद कहा कि अगर श्रद्धा इमोशनल नहीं होती रोती नहीं तो मैं मैं उसे 10 दिन पहले ही मार देता।
हत्याएं और क्राइम हर समाज हर देश का किसी न किसी रूप में हिस्सा है लेकिन किसी को मारकर उसके टुकड़े करना उन्हीं टुकड़ो के बीच सोना उसी फ्रिज में अपने खाने का सामान रखना जहां लाश रखी है वही बाथरूम यूज करना जहां आपने अपने पार्टनर के टुकड़े किए हो यहां तक की महीनों बाद भी उसी घर में अकेले रहना, ये सब हमारे सामाज के लिए असाधारण है। ऐसे लोगों का बाहर रहना और जीना समाज के लिए कहीं से भी अच्छा नहीं है। ये रेयरेस्ट ऑफ रेयर केस है, फाँसी से कम कुछ जस्टिस नहीं होगा।
