Hey! I’m happy to announce the launch of my redesigned online piano learning platform, Sound of Emotions, a project that has grown very close to my heart, even though at times it drove me crazy. There are now 590+ video lessons divided into 21 modules, paired with 20 beautifully designed workbooks providing 963 pages of sheet music. I've also made the platform more user-friendly, simplified navigation, and added features to track your progress, with detailed descriptions in each lesson and so much more.
I’ve put a lot of time and heart into these changes, so if you’re curious, take a look, try the free course, and let me know how it feels to you. Here’s the link: soundofemotions.com/

My new solo piano album is out!
linktr.ee/WoWPiano
This piano album is about 14 incredible women that have changed my life.
I have been planning to make this piano album for a long time now but I kept postponing this idea again and again until Yam Karkai came along.
She told me about her World of Women NFT art project and that it would be nice to collaborate on this together and make some magic 💖 Her motivation, vision, and goals pushed the right button on me, and voila, this album became a reality today.
(Thank you, Yam. The artistic freedom you gave me to make this album was absolutely awesome by you.)
My dear subscribers, I hope you will enjoy this album and experience a lot of colorful feelings while listening to it.
Let me know if you want to learn these piano pieces!:)
With Love,
David

"Let's write a song within a minute!" I said in a band practice.
"Done," Karla replied.
"What? You only used 5 seconds."
"Yeah. Here you go," she handed me a piece of paper. "It goes like this: E F G F."
"Ok Karla, how should I read this? Are these chords? Or bass notes? Or a little melody?"
"Just read the way you want it."
"Hmm. Challenge accepted."
I'm curious, what would be your solution? Record yourself and tag me so I can see ;) #davidmagyel

Well, this is the end of the 30-day challenge. If you had any New Year's resolutions regarding your piano practice, I hope this challenge helped you build momentum towards those goals. As I said at the beginning of this challenge, I wanted to give you a practical method that you can later apply to any jazz standards. There are two other mini-courses on my channel that follows the same method:
Autumn Leaves Improvisation - https://youtu.be/Qef0Q_LN07g
All of Me Improvisation - https://youtu.be/N4vkCOBG0Wg
These lessons in a nutshell:
Step 1: Know the chord progression (Walking Bass + Rootless Voicings)
Step 2: Know your scales
Step 3: Add arpeggios
Step 4: Add enclosures
Step 5: Add Rhythm (Play & Rest Approach)
Now that you have completed this challenge, you will notice that things are starting to make much more sense - especially when it comes to analyzing my jazz etudes in this youtube channel :)
Of course, this is just the beginning of a beautiful journey into the world of jazz, but now you have a strong foundation, so you can feel grounded when you start adding extra elements to your improvisation. If you feel the hunger to dig even deeper, I certainly want to be here to feed your knowledge, skills, and abilities.
This 30-day challenge was my way of saying thank you. Not long ago, I reached 100 000subscribers, and I did not want to take that for granted. The next big milestone is 250 000 for me, and when that happens, I will be back with another challenge/course. (It would be nice to brainstorm together on the next topic ;))
I will take the next few weeks to recharge and prepare some quality content for this channel. Until then, I wish you well.
Thank you for being here!
See you soon.

Hi Everyone, I hope you are all safe and sound.
Yesterday I published the final part of "The Light Side of Jazz Piano" lesson series. To close that project up, I wanted to show you my way of approaching minimalistic piano etudes, which, as you will hear, is more about creating sounds/soundscapes than pretty melodies.
Also, all these lessons are now collected into a bundle. When I started this project, I already had 25 pages prepared, and I was very close to publishing it right away on day 1. However, as we moved forward, I kept expanding the content because this project really fired up my creativity :) So yesterday, when I put everything together, I was quite surprised that this eBook ended up to be 69 pages!
My goal was to provide you a complete piano course here on YouTube, so you can follow a structured practice plan and dig deeper. I hope you enjoyed this ride and you got something out of it. Personally, I really enjoyed doing this because I felt that I am teaching you something here instead of just entertain you with random lessons, so I think I will continue this approach unless you advise me otherwise :) Let me know.
