What is community?
Even compared to when I was growing up, so much has changed.
How much time do we actually spend with people who share our interests?
Or doing something as simple as helping a neighbor?
That’s what inspired me to create this channel.
Sharing these experiences, meeting like-minded people, and building something bigger than just myself — that’s what makes it worth it.
And that’s why I’ll keep growing the Appalachian Andy Outdoors community.

Attention: I need your Input

I’m thinking about launching something new for our community "Seasonal Hiker Challenge"
Each season will have different mileage goals and difficulty levels, such as 50, 75, and 100 miles. You can complete miles however you’d like — day hikes, backpacking trips, or trail miles at your favorite park. You’ll be able to track and share your progress right here in the community tab so we can encourage each other along the way. I may also create a new Facebook page.
It will be Free to join.
For those who want something extra, I’ll also offer an optional package that includes custom-designed badges and stickers, created by a local artist. Even better, a portion of proceeds will go directly toward supporting state forests — helping with trail cleanup and maintenance. As a community, we’ll vote on which state forest receives each seasonal donation.
My goal is simple:
Build a stronger community, motivate each other, and give back to the trails we all love.

Finished the Steve Newman Peremiter trail at East Fork State Park. Covering 33 miles adding an extra couple miles along the way. Yesterday was so nice being able to hike in a t shirt. Felt so much like spring. Definitely a challenging trail at times but absolutely worth the trip. Il be editing and posting this trip in the next couple of weeks so be on the lookout. 👀👀
