Completed my first big kayak camping trip on the Scioto River 20 miles total! The water wasn’t moving very fast, but it was the perfect opportunity to build experience, learn, and enjoy the journey.
One of the biggest highlights was cooking a real campfire meal: ribeye steak, sweet corn, and eggplant.
Already looking forward to the next river adventure!

Finished my first voyage on Brush Creek 11.5 miles all the way to the Ohio River. Id seen a bald eagle, deer and plenty of fish. Learned a lot on this run, and I’m already taking those lessons into the next trip.

Fun day at East Fork State Park's beach! The water was much higher than usual, covering most of the shoreline, but it didn't take away from the experience. Despite all the recent rain, the water was surprisingly warm. It's a great place to spend a relaxing afternoon with the family. We'll definitely be back!
