Inside this episode: music that’s hard to just listen to—this is stuff you’re meant to dance to. Turn it up!
Here is what’s landing in your ears today:
🎹 Nathan Fake — We’re kicking off today's mix with a track from one of the youngest prodigies in the scene. Nathan fell in love with music at the age of three—starting with the piano, moving to synths, and discovering computers at 15. By the time he turned 19, he had already pumped out thousands of tracks, with one even making it onto a movie soundtrack. Today, we’re spinning the Valentino Kanzyani remix of that very tune. Nathan Fake is a true icon of 2000s electronic music—a genius way ahead of his time who looked far beyond the charts. Expect a future episode dedicated entirely to his work!
☁️ James Holden — Etotehnika is all about 2000s techno and the minds behind it. Up next is a legendary track from a legendary figure. The world first heard of James Holden when he was just 19, dropping his first massive hit. Classically trained on cello and keys, it was new tech that truly unlocked his potential. Holden throws genre boundaries out the window and rejects standard analog sounds, choosing total creative freedom instead. Back in 2007, as a 25-year-old wunderkind, he was running his own label—a hub for the most unconventional young artists. Tonight, right in the middle of the mix, we’re playing the track that started it all: "A Break in the Clouds."
🐪 Djuma Soundsystem — This next one is a treat for anyone who still thinks electronic music is just repetitive "boom-boom" beats. This beautiful, melodic masterpiece has a wild history. The track "Les Djins" was actually dropped back in 2003, but it was so far ahead of its time that it ended up collecting dust on record shelves. The magic happened in the summer of 2006 when a fresh remix package completely blew up. New versions kept coming, and by spring 2007, even Moby included his own take on a compilation. But out of all of them, Trentemøller’s remix is the undisputed crown jewel. Get ready, because this is the exact track that drove clubbers absolutely insane all through 2007.
⏭️ Looking ahead: The next episode of Etotehnika will be a full deep-dive into the sound of the incredibly talented DJ and producer, Tom Pooks.

Inside this episode:
🇩🇪 WestBam — It is highly symbolic to open our very first episode with a creation from a true apostle of German techno, a man who played a pivotal role in shaping club culture. You are about to hear a highly original track, quite uncharacteristic of his signature style. It’s a perfect opportunity to look at the legendary producer's heritage from a completely fresh perspective.
💿 Zintex — Moving forward, we feature a project operating under the striking name Zintex. We will hear their track "Alku," released back in January 2007. This project was a model of stability, regularly dropping records throughout their two-and-a-half-year run.
🔊 Sven Wagner — If you're feeling drowsy, brace yourselves. To close things out, we have a hard-hitting 20-minute block ahead featuring Sven Wagner. Hard, yet melodic: that is exactly what defined the sound of Germany back in 2007.
Etotehnika is the ultimate tribute to the electronic music of the 2000s. Hold your breath and enjoy the ride!
