Usual update post time!

Not many stock changes on the shop since my last update, although bio active clay balls are back in stock as well as jumping spider plushies!

The swarm have been busy exploring and snacking recently. No major moults, no losses or exceptional goings on. However, we have had a mini spike of fungus gnats and even a little mould in a couple of enclosures due to the changes in temperature/humidity. Always annoying, but often easily solved with springtails, rehouse or a quick bit of maintenance!

All of the inverts from the show have settled in well. I have a real soft spot for Bobo the beetle and Tombie the Tomb Crawler. Both are such cool inverts to observe!

The swarm have been doing well, including all the new arrivals. They have settled and have been enjoying tasty snacks! The reptiles have also been mega active while the tarantulas have been lazy lol

Regular update post time, especially as it's love your pet day!

How have you shown your inverts some love today??

Firstly, if you missed it, my latest video covering my trip to the Hertfordshire Invert & Arachnid show is up! It was a great day and I couldn't help but add some new friends to the swarm (see photo!)

The swarm has been doing well, sadly some friends have departed recently, but such is the way with invertebrates! The tarantulas especially have been busy speed moulting of late. I'm not sure what made a bunch of them decide to moult, but it's going to be rehouse time for a few of them soon!

As for me, usual busy busy with the parrot side of things. I've been watching my usual shows and have started playing FF7 Intergrade + Daemon X Machina!

Hello spooder fans!

I thought I'd drop a community post as I'm now on my new video schedule of 2-3 a month rather than one a week!

The swarm have been doing well, including the new gecko arrivals. I really have 0 regrets getting them as they are so charming and low maintenance compared to our parrots!
Only a small amount of new additions recently as I've been trying to ensure that the husbandry for our current critters is correct and that we don't run out of space. I think it's always exciting to add new inverts to a collection, but it's important to ensure that all their needs will be met and it's not just a novelty thing!

Thankfully invertebrate content isn't doing as badly as parrot content right now, but YouTube definitely seems to be promoting educational content less in favour of shorts or just whatever else is the flavour of the month! That doesn't mean I'm going to stop making it though!

I'm going to be taking a short break as it's been mega busy here with the bird side of things, but will be back in action with fresh videos from the New Year. I will check in on comments however and see if I can pop up a short or two!

Hello spider lovers!

Community update time!

They have settled in well so far, but obviously being a completely new species for us it's a learning experience!

The rest of the swarm are doing well. The jumping spiders have been especially active and enjoying some extra snacks as a result. We have also been especially active due to getting a unit for our birdie business!

Hello spider people!

It's been a while since my last community post, so I thought I'd pop one up updating you all on what's going on here at swarm HQ as well as sharing some exciting additions to my invertebrate store! (Shown in the photos)

Many of you have asked for bio-active components as well as a jumping spider sling kit so I've listed and added them to the store! Apologies for the delay!
I'm becoming more and more of a fan of bio-active setups including live plants so I wanted to make them accessible and affordable for anyone else wanting to try one out!

The swarm have been doing well this end otherwise. Had less moults, a few rehouses and my first isopod escapee lol

As for me, incredibly busy. The parrot side of my life (I'm a parrot trainer by trade + run a parrot store) has been so mega busy and taking up so much time. But making sure I find time for my fave bug friends!

Lots of moulting AGAIN. It seems to come in waves, when one lot finish another lot start lol. Nikki (spider in photo) recently emerged from her web after moulting then immediately caught herself a fly.

I'd also like to thank you guys again for the recent orders on my shop. It's much appreciated!
I've restocked a couple of sold out bits and am in the process of sourcing some more goodies!

As a FYI, I may be reducing the amount of videos I put out a month slightly. With all my commitments/work I want to continue producing good quality content. So I plan to reduce my video output to 2-3 a month just to give me a little more time to film/edit.
If I can, I'll try to film some cool shorts to fill out any gap weeks!
