Bio from 2019 - Imagine a mix tape of your favourite songs. An open mind to styles, from melodic to extreme. “A good song is a good song, regardless of genre.”
This was the blueprint that LORD adopted right from the start, back when the band was known as DUNGEON and based in the Australian outback.
That open mind and sense of fun, the unashamed goal of doing what feels right, regardless of any trends or expectations is what has taken LORD around the world, playing alongside some of the biggest bands in rock, such as MEGADETH, QUEENSRŸCHE, NIGHTWISH, HELLOWEEN, SAXON and MAYHEM, just to name a few.
LORD continues to build on the legacy of their impressive back-catalogue, and write the next page in their long and varied history.

Liner Notes: LT: “Probably the most difficult song on the album from a guitar and drum point of view. The main riff isn’t so bad when you get your head around it but once you put all of the parts together, it’s actually really complex. I remember sitting there in the studio while T.Y. smashed out the blast beat before the breakdown and thinking to myself ‘this guy is off the hook — that’s amazing!’ We tried all kinds of fun things like setting up two ride cymbals so we could get some cool stereo effects happening when he was doing the groovy breakdown, with Mav’s very 90s Helloween inspired solo over the top. It’s also nice that we were able to continue the tradition of writing songs from Australia’s rich history, I think that’s something that’s overlooked by Australian artists quite a lot because we just take that stuff for granted here.”

Friends!
We’ll be slowly adding most of our back catalogue to YouTube. As the releases are uploaded, we’d love for you to comment on your favourite tracks, share your memories/stories, add them to your playlists and so forth.
Why are we doing this? To date you may have seen our music sitting on a whole range of weird channels due to our digital aggregator. We have been unable to resolve this to date, so we’re just going to upload everything ourselves!
Besides, it’s a great way to share our back catalogue again and hopefully drive more traffic to our main channel rather than elsewhere.
Enjoy the music as its added and any love you can give it (commenting, sharing, liking/subbing) will be killer.
