You can sleep eight hours and still wake up foggy.
Because your brain has a night shift .... it clears out the day's waste while you sleep.
But it only does the deep cleaning when your body is calm. Scrolling, late arguments, late caffeine keep you switched on, so you get the hours without the rinse.
The fix isn't more sleep. It's a quieter hour before it.
