"MAKE WAY FOR THE QUEEN!" | Her Majesty's return in the Land of Promise.
Nothing's a "CHALLENGE" for this ex-Singaporean 🇸🇬 "QUEEN OF THE SKIES", as she "ACCEPTED" to freight livestock pigs from Copenhagen, Denmark.
After a long decade of not seein' the Queen's presence in Davao, since Philippine Airlines retired their B744s, I was finally able to spot it back. Givin' me flashbacks of the great mem'ries I had with Her Majesty back when I was a kid 'til my teenage days.
Quite a history this aircraft has. Previously operated by Singapore Airlines in January 1991 as a passenger aircraft, registered as 9V-SMH. Converted into a freighter aircraft when it was acquired by Cathay Pacific in July 2006, registered as B-HKH.
The aircraft was withdraw from use & stored at Boeing Aircraft Holding Company dated in August 2013, registered as N939BA. CAL Cargo Air Lines took notice of the aircraft & added it into their fleet back in March 2016, carried the registration number 4X-ICC.
Approximately 3 years later that time, ACE Belgium Freighters acquired the aircraft bearin' the current registration "OO-ACE". Then in June 2020, Challenge Airlines currently operates the aircraft carryin' the same registration number.
Flight information:
Operator: Challenge Airlines (Belgium 🇷🇴) Aircraft: Boeing 747-412(BCF) Callsign: "CHALLENGE" 747-PAPA Flight #: X7 747 (CHG747P) Registration #: OO-ACE Delivered: January 1991 (ex Singapore Airlines previously registered as 9V-SMH, delivered to the current operator in June 2020.)
Enroute to Taipei Taoyuan Int'l. Airport (TPE/RCTP)
ICYMI | Arabian Oryx, rotatin' out of Davao (Runway 23 departure), on its way back to Doha, after more or less than 48 hours parked at Mactan-Cebu due to reported technical issues with the aircraft. A rare sight to see, as this Dreamy Oryx can only be spotted durin' its regular night-time flight. A special treat for us, plane-spotters.
Gotta love those signature Dreamliner Wingflex! Can't believe I was able to witness it in a good lightin' condition.
Flight information:
Airline: Qatar Airways Aircraft: Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner Callsign: "QATARI" 936-DELTA Flight #: QR936D (QTR936D) Registration #: A7-BDB Delivered: April 2016
The only downgrade that I really appreciate the most. It's been so long since I haven't spotted a Boeing 737 Classic. Hopin' that the operator will deploy one of their B733s in the next SZX-DVO flight.
Flight information:
Operator: (China) Central Airlines Aircraft: Boeing 737-332(SF) Callsign: "HOMELAND" 9813 Flight #: I9 9813 (HLF9813) Registration #: B-2119 Delivered: April 1993 (under Delta Air Lines, ex N305DE)
