Once again, a strike has been announced in the name of 5-Day Banking.
But some serious questions need honest answers.

📌 Facts first: • 5-Day Banking cannot be implemented by unions alone
• It requires Government approval, RBI consultation, and statutory changes
• Despite years of campaigns, slogans, and strike calls, nothing has moved legally

⚠️ A pattern worth noting:
Earlier also, strike calls were announced with strong statements — only to be cancelled at the last moment, creating confusion and credibility issues among employees.

❓ Unanswered questions that matter: • If 5-Day Banking was such a core demand, why was the Bipartite Agreement signed without it?
• At that time, why were the unions silent?
• Why is the issue being revived repeatedly after signing settlements instead of resolving it at the policy level?

Strikes may create pressure, but they do not replace legal and policy decisions.

👉 Employees deserve transparency, not repeated announcements.
👉 Banking reforms need clear roadmaps — not uncertainty.

Accused Individuals: The arrested officials were identified as Shalini Sinha, a former assistant manager at Canara Bank, and Abhishek Kumar, a former business development associate at Axis Bank. Both were posted in Patna.
Locations of Arrest: Sinha was apprehended in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, while Kumar was arrested in Bettiah, Bihar.
Alleged Misconduct: The duo reportedly received illegal benefits (quid pro quo) for opening mule accounts and specifically advising fraudsters on how to bypass bank system red flags to avoid detection.

Ongoing Investigation: These arrests are part of a larger CBI crackdown on cybercrime infrastructure. The agency previously conducted searches at 61 locations and arrested 13 other individuals in connection with this same network.
