A New Chapter in Our Journey 💗
So many of you have walked alongside us through our family’s journey — through the highs, the heartbreaks, and the moments of healing. Your love and support have meant the world to us.
Today, we’re humbled and excited to share something deeply personal: our very first book. 🌸
(You can find it here on Amazon: amzn.to/4hiEOBM)
This project was born out of our own experience with cancer. During some of the hardest days, coloring became a form of therapy — a way to process emotions, find calm, and bring a little light back into the dark. What began as a personal outlet has now grown into a guided journal and coloring book created to bring hope, comfort, and healing to anyone walking a similar path.
We know so many of you have been touched by cancer — whether personally or through someone you love — and our hope is that this book can offer encouragement, peace, and strength when it’s needed most.
A portion of the proceeds will go toward organizations fighting cancer, with our flagship partner being the incredible Create Cures Foundation, whose mission aligns with our heart for healing and hope.
From our family to yours — thank you for being part of this journey. 💕
May this next chapter inspire, comfort, and remind you that even in the hardest moments, there are still colors of hope.

Tonight, we had the incredible opportunity to meet the Honorable Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley 🇧🇧
During the pandemic, she introduced the Barbados Welcome Stamp Visa—a decision that changed the trajectory of our lives beyond our wildest dreams. Because of that bold move, our family has been able to grow, thrive, and call this beautiful island home. 🌴
What we admire most is not just her leadership, but her deep love for her country and her people. On the world stage, she is widely respected for her vision, authenticity, and courage—yet here at home she remains approachable, warm, and deeply connected to her community.
Our children are growing up witnessing this kind of authentic leadership, and one day they’ll realize the significance of what it meant to meet and thank a leader like “Auntie Mia” at a community event. For now, we simply hold this moment with gratitude. 🙏💙
Thank you, Prime Minister, for your authenticity, your international presence, and your unwavering heart for Barbados. You’ve inspired us more than you know.

Grateful for this life, not just for the sunsets and the sea, but for the moments in between—the laughter echoing over the waves, the friendships that feel like family, and the conversations that spark new perspectives. Most think flipping the script meant moving to a beautiful island, but the real gift is how it changed the way we live—present, connected, and deeply thankful. 🌊✨

I just left the kids’ first day of school drop-off, and I’m sitting here in the car with tears streaming down my face. Not the kind of tears filled with sadness, but the kind of happy tears that come from a place so deep I can’t fully explain it. If only I could bottle up their joy—those excited giggles, the screeches of pure happiness, the high-fives, the long embraces from friends and school mates they have missed and their beaming smiles. Today, their energy was contagious, their excitement was palpable, and I couldn’t be more proud.
A year ago, this moment felt so far out of reach. Life looked so different. We were in the middle of fighting battles we never saw coming. The weight of uncertainty hung over us, and school drop-offs were a desperate wish I longed to partake in but was too weak from my chemotherapy treatments. I vowed then to enjoy every single moment and to cherish the sometimes chaotic morning rush, the daily catch up en route to after school activities and to truly soak in all these moments because they are a blessing and a privilege. That’s why today hits me harder—this first day of school represents so much more than new beginnings. It’s a reminder of how far we’ve come, of resilience, and of the strength that carried us through those dark days.
Today was full of love, excitement, warm embraces, and endless “welcome back”’s. Watching these children bounce into school, so full of life and feeling right at home, I’m left speechless. Grateful doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel right now.
Here’s to the journey. Here’s to this first day. And here’s to never taking a single moment for granted. 💛

✨ One Year, Full Circle: Our Return to Barbados ✨
Today marks a day that is etched in our hearts forever—a day filled with both trepidation and hope. Exactly one year ago, we faced the unknown as I began my first round of chemotherapy. It was the start of a journey that would test our strength, challenge our faith, and ultimately, bring us closer together as a family.
And now, with hearts overflowing with gratitude, we are returning to Barbados, the place where our souls feel at home. As we step back onto this beautiful island, we are filled with excitement, and yes, more than a few happy tears.
This return isn’t just about coming back to a place; it’s about celebrating life, community, resilience, and the incredible journey we’ve been on. It’s a reminder of how far we’ve come, of the battles fought and won, and of the love that carried us through it all.
We are beyond grateful for this moment—to breathe in the ocean air, to feel the warm sun on our faces, and to embrace the island that has always held a special place in our hearts.
Today, we celebrate not just a return, but a renewal of life and spirit.
Here’s to new beginnings, to cherishing every moment, and to embracing the beautiful life we are creating by design, with intention. Thank you to everyone who has walked this path with us—we carry your love and support with us always. 🌅💖

✨ Today marks one year since my breast cancer diagnosis. As I reflect on this journey, I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude. ✨
When I first heard the diagnosis, I was overwhelmed with fear and uncertainty. But throughout this year, I’ve discovered an inner strength I never knew I had and witnessed the unwavering support of those around me. 🌟
I am deeply grateful for my incredible husband Darren, who walked hand-in-hand with me through every step, giving me strength when I had none. His love and support have been my anchor. ❤️
My children, who excelled academically and physically despite the chaos, have shown resilience beyond their years. Their strength has been a source of inspiration for me. 🌈
I am thankful for the overwhelming support from friends, family, and even strangers from across the globe. The gifts, messages, phone calls, and constant encouragement have meant the world to me. 🌍
Gratitude fills my heart for being here today, for the team of professionals who guided my treatment, and for the blend of traditional and non-traditional methods that supported my healing. 🍃
This journey has taught me to cherish the small things, to appreciate every moment, and to live with an open heart. As I move forward, I carry this immense gratitude with me, excited to live life fully and savor every little moment. 🙏
To everyone who has been a part of this journey, thank you. Your support has been invaluable, and I am forever grateful. Let’s cherish today and every day, holding our loved ones a little closer and never taking a single moment for granted. 💕

Sharing this post in case it can help others currently going through a difficult time:
Grace—a word that has woven itself deeply into the fabric of my cancer journey. It’s not just about elegance or poise; it’s about the immense power of kindness, understanding, and resilience.
Giving myself grace has been a transformative act. It’s about allowing the waves of emotions—both the painful and the joyful—to wash over me, knowing that each feeling is valid and a part of healing. It’s about embracing vulnerability and finding strength in the midst of uncertainty.
As I traversed through treatments and challenges, grace became my constant companion. It’s the quiet courage that whispers, ‘You’re doing your best, and that’s enough.’ It’s the gentle reminder to focus on the present moment and find positivity even in the darkest times.
But grace extends beyond self-compassion. It’s also about acknowledging and honoring the incredible support system that surrounds me. It’s about having grace for those who stand by my side, offering love, encouragement, and understanding, even when words fall short.
Today, I celebrate grace in all its forms—the grace to endure, the grace to heal, and the grace to love fiercely through it all. I invite you to reflect on grace in your own journey—how you give it to yourself, how you navigate through challenges with grace, and how you extend it to those who uplift you.
Together, let’s embrace grace as a guiding light, illuminating our paths with compassion, strength, and unwavering positivity all the while giving grace to those moments where you may not feel graceful. 💖

8 months ago I received news that would forever change life as I knew it… “You have breast cancer”. As many will tell you there is life BEFORE cancer and there is life AFTER cancer. There is no going back to that person you were before hearing those words. 🌟 #MiracleUpdate: Today, through the ever flowing stream of tears I’m bursting with joy to announce that after enduring 5 months of chemotherapy followed by a successful surgery, I’ve received the miraculous news: I am now cancer free! This journey has been challenging, but your unwavering support, love, and prayers have been my guiding light. Each message, hug, and prayer has fueled my spirit and kept me going, even on the toughest days.
💗 #HeartfeltThanks: From the depths of my soul, thank you. Your support has touched me in ways I cannot fully express. As I step forward into this new phase of life, I do so with immense gratitude for the countless blessings and the incredible community that surrounds me.
🌻 #EmbracingLife: This journey has taught me the value of every moment, the strength of the human spirit, and the beauty of love in its purest form. The simplest gesture can truly mean everything to someone struggling to survive the day. Spread kindness wherever you go, it makes a difference.
🌈 #BrighterDaysAhead: Thank you for being my beacon of hope, my source of strength, and my reason to believe in miracles. Here’s to new beginnings, endless possibilities, and a future filled with love, laughter, and joy. While this isn’t the end of the journey, it does make walking the next steps in treatment a bit easier.🇧🇧 #TheFliptheScriptFamily So many have asked if we are jumping on a plane immediately back to Barbados! While we would absolutely love that we still have a treatment phase to complete here in California as well as determining what the long term treatment plan looks like moving forward. Those details should become clearer in the months to come as enter the next treatment phase and beyond. For now we celebrate the present moment and express our gratitude for each and every one of you! 💕
