When a marine survived the impossible

Born 1989, Mississippi. Kyle Carpenter joined the marine corps in 2009. On 21 November 2010 while Stationed in Afghanistan a live grenade landed where him and another marine were. Without thinking Kyle jumped on the grenade, shielding it with his body. The injury’s were catastrophic. Three times he flatlined, three times doctors brought him back. He survived and Obama awarded him the medal of honour for his heroic actions.
