The Amazing Mom TV

Seven years ago, we bundled up and played in the snow like it was the greatest adventure…it rarely snows in our state.😩 Yesterday, we recreated those memories with our teenagers who still humor me, but now tower over me in height and attitude.

It feels like just yesterday they were missing teeth (my favorite season of childhood), and their laughter echoed through the neighborhood as they built snowmen, threw snowballs, and boldly flopped into snow angels. Now, those little hands that once needed mine are transitioning into carrying their own weight in the world, even as they remind me how fast it all goes.

Parenting teenagers is its own kind of snowstorm—beautiful, unpredictable, and sometimes a little wild. One minute, you’re in the thick of it, and the next, you're looking at taller shadows of the little kids who used to run into your arms. These moments we captured remind me: Time doesn’t slow down, but it leaves footprints we can cherish forever. So if you’re in the middle of the whirlwind, take the picture, make the memories, and savor the NOW…because one day, the snow melts—but fortunately, the love never does. 💛

#TBT Looking at this photo of me and my oldest from a few years ago at a #JonasBrothersConcert feels like a little miracle. Her smile says it all. She was going through a tough time mentally and emotionally, and a quick decision on my part to figure out something tangible to lighten her load actually turned things around.

Sometimes it’s the little things—like showing up, being there, and doing something as practical as engaging in your teen’s favorite things— that can make all the difference. This moment is a reminder that even on the hard days, there are still potential “wins” to be found, and connections to be made with your struggling teen. Mom, you’ve GOT this. 💪🏾
