Hi! I'm Roxanne - a Colorado-based outdoor adventure lover and aspiring vanlifer who's figuring out how to prioritize her health above everything despite living with a chronic illness. I travel part-time with my dog, Kyrie, in a professionally converted Mercedes Sprinter campervan. (Thanks, Geotrek Vans!) The goal this year is to "prioritize self-care", which includes slow travel and spending more time in the great outdoors. I'd love to share all of the camping adventures and outdoor exploring we do this year with you. A new video drops every Sunday. Subscribe and join me on the journey!

I went back, ya'll.
Last summer, Brazos Bend was a hot, sweaty mess. This time? Cool air, peaceful lake walks, and exactly what I needed.
Sometimes the place isn’t the problem. The season is.
New video is up. 🌿

I almost didn’t post this one.
This drive to New Orleans didn’t start the way I planned — I wasn’t feeling great and had to slow way down. Instead of pushing through, I listened to my body and adjusted.
This video is mostly road scenes, passing landscapes, and a reminder that it’s okay to take care of yourself and be flexible when plans change.
I'm curious - what would you have done if you had two little girls you love to bits waiting on a visit from you?

Hey, ya'll.
In the spirit of sharing things that may soothe the soul in these chaotic times, I thought I'd do something I've never done: I'm sharing a video that's just my b-roll with no talking. It's just wind, waves, and walking (with an occasional heavy breath and key jingle.)
Let me know what you think. If this is something people are interested in, I'll make more of an effort to capture clean sounds of nature to share on the channel.
Take good care, friends. 💚

Lately, everything has felt… like a lot.
I took a few days to camp at Galveston Island State Park — walking the beach, sleeping in, and giving myself space to breathe and reflect on what self-care looks like during these troubling times.
This video is a gentle reminder that stepping away to care for yourself isn’t disengaging — it’s grounding.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed too, I hope this brings a little calm your way. 💚
How are you taking care of yourself in this season?

✨ The final video in my slow trip home series is live ✨
From quiet days at a Harvest Hosts ranch outside of Waxahachie, to cookies in Waco, to peaceful time at Mother Neff State Park — this one is full of small, meaningful moments. I even ran into two women who watch my channel, which honestly meant the world to me.
This series has been slow, imperfect, and deeply grounding. Thank you for being part of it. 💚

This stretch of my drive home included my first-ever Harvest Host, a couple of great dog park stops with Kyrie, a visit to Cadillac Ranch, and one very womp womp Hipcamp experience.
This trip keeps reminding me that not every stop will be perfect — but there’s always something to learn, laugh about, or appreciate.

Have you ever had a travel stop that was just meh? What made it so?

I just posted part 1 of my slow, scenic drive home to Houston for a few months with the fam — and for the first time ever, I didn’t plan all of my stops in advance. I just followed the road.
From quiet campgrounds to breathtaking Texas sunsets, this leg of the journey reminded me how much beauty lives in the in-between.

I've officially owned and traveled in my van for 1 year!!! 🥳
This week, I’m reflecting on what I've loved, what I didn't, and the lessons I've learned - and continue to learn - along the way. I’m also sharing my focus for 2026: choosing real, sustainable self care as I move into the new year.
