🆘 Indigenous Communities Under Attack – Druze Civilians in Danger 💔

The situation in Suweida is deteriorating rapidly — and the world is barely noticing.

Over the past few days, Druze civilians in southern Syria have come under deliberate and coordinated attacks:

▪️ Mortar fire on villages
▪️ Arson targeting homes and crops
▪️ Gunfire on civilians — including children; at least two Druze children have been killed
▪️ Over 200 injured in the city alone
▪️ Students blocked from taking national exams — their futures in limbo

Nine villages are under siege. Hospitals are overwhelmed. Communication is collapsing.

Meanwhile, official media either remain silent or distort the truth, portraying the victims as criminals to justify the violence.

What’s happening today is eerily similar to the attacks against the Alawite communities months ago:
🔻 Targeted killings
🔻 Displacement
🔻 A media narrative that dehumanizes the victims

But this time, there are no cameras.
The attackers learned from past backlash — now they are killing in silence, out of sight and without accountability.

Let’s be clear:
🔴 The Druze community is not rebelling.
🔴 These civilians are not terrorists.
✅ They are being attacked — and defending themselves against systematic violence.

The Druze are a spiritual ethno-religious minority, making up less than 3% of Syria’s population — fewer than 500,000 people in total.
Most families have only one or two children.
So when more than 50 people are killed in a single day, it is not just tragic — it’s devastating for the survival of the entire community.

The perpetrators include:
🔸 Armed Bedouin militias
🔸 Syrian regime security elements
🔸 Backed or protected by state institutions

The goal is clear:
To weaken, displace, or erase the Druze presence in the region.

We call on:
🟤 International media – Investigate and report the truth
🟤 Human rights organizations – Document and act
🟤 Public figures and concerned citizens – Raise your voice

Suweida is bleeding — like other Syrian communities before it.
The only difference now is silence. Don’t let them kill in the dark.
