These are songs that I’ve been listening to for the 30 plus years and still revisit regularly. As a country music fan, I can’t overstate how much Jim McBride’s songwriting has influenced and inspired me throughout the years. The music world has lost one of the greats today. He either wrote or co-wrote all the songs above and countless others as well. Just want to send prayers and condolences to the McBride family. Thanks for the songs.

PSA for my friends and family that are traditional country music fans…the 100th Anniversary Of The Grand Ole Opry show that took place yesterday night is available on the Peacock Network. It is worth your time, I know the clips are circulating the internet, but the show is very good in its entirety. I just watched it tonight and it was very refreshing to see so many great artists from today and yesterday come together to celebrate the mother church of country music. For all involved thank you for honoring the traditional country music that made fans like myself fall in love with the beauty and honesty that makes this music so timeless.

Finally found a copy of this gem on vinyl at a local thrift store. This record has been my favorite of Linda’s for many years. Hypothetically, if I had unlimited resources and had a band they would sonically sound like this album. The production and players are absolutely incredible. #vinyl #countrymusic #70smusic

I had the pleasure to see @martystuart and his Fabulous Superlatives for the 3rd time tonight. They were absolutely brilliant. I understood every word and heard every note they played. The sound man definitely is a key element to the clarity they’re able to convey to the audience. Country music at it’s finest. They truly are my favorite band to see live. Look forward to seeing them many more times in the future.

Willie released a new album this morning! It’s definitely worth a listen. I’ve listened to it 3 times already this morning. Just brilliant work. This maybe my favorite album he has recorded in the past decade. At 91 he is still making and creating great music. So inspiring. Happy Friday friends and neighbors.

One of the most creative things I enjoy doing as a guitarist and songwriter is to sit in a quiet room while playing an electric guitar unplugged. Ever since I first started playing, Strat style guitars have always inspired me to think outside the box. Although, I rarely use them to play in front of other people. It’s kind of weird, but for me it’s something I really love to do.
