Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) is a public sector autonomous body working under the Ministry of Aviation, Federal Government of Pakistan. PAA was established on 9th August 2024 in accordance with section 3 of the Pakistan Airports Authority Act, 2023.
The purpose of establishing PAA is to provide for the better administration, operation, and development of airports and air transport services in Pakistan. The core functions and powers of PAA are administer, operate, and develop airports and air navigation Services.

Altercation at Jinnah International Airport – Inquiry Initiated
A video circulating on social media shows an altercation between a passenger and a worker at a photocopy shop inside Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. The disagreement arose over service charges.
Printing costs vary based on factors such as color or black-and-white printing, as well as whether a document is printed directly, scanned, or downloaded. The applicable charges in this case were Rs. 400. A rate list is available for reference.
The situation escalated when the passenger began recording the conversation, prompting a reaction from the worker. This led to a heated exchange.
The JIAP's management has revoked the worker’s airport pass and launched an inquiry into the incident. PAA remains committed to ensuring a professional and passenger-friendly environment at all airports.
