(12/15/25) "To our beloved Princess Towa, the dazzling Cure Scarlet! Happy Birthday! Today, we celebrate not just the moment you were born, but the incredible journey of who you have become." "We all remember the captivating intensity of Princess Twilight. You were the dark jewel in the enemy's crown, a figure of sophisticated cruelty driven by a painful distortion of your true self. That alone was a compelling antagonist, setting the stage for one of the most memorable transformations in Pretty Cure history."
🖤 Happy Birthday, Meroron/Cure Kiss! 💜 (A Poetic and Slightly Tsundere Birthday Toast) Everyone, please raise your Kirari Locks for a special toast! To Meroron—the small fairy who became our brave, beautiful, and sometimes... very complicated... Cure Kiss! When we first met you, you were known as the quiet, artistic fairy whose words flowed like poetry, yet whose heart was tightly guarded. You were always standing slightly apart, watching the world with that deep, philosophical gaze, ending every thought with a soft "~mero." It took a lot for you to let us in. You struggled with the fear of being alone, with the worry that the people you cherished—Purirun—might slip away. But through the toughest battles, both against the villains and against your own lonely fears, you transformed. > You took the lonely black of your Heart Kirari Lock and turned it into the unstoppable Black and Fuchsia sparkle of Cure Kiss! > You taught us the strength found in honest devotion, and the intense power of a passionate, albeit sometimes slightly possessive, heart. When you blow a kiss on the battlefield, the enemy isn't just defeated—they're stunned by your commitment. So, on this special day, we celebrate the growth of the magnificent Tanaka Meron. May your artistic talent continue to shine, may your friendships deepen, and may you always know that even when you push us away, we will always pull you back. Happy Birthday, Meroron! May your day be filled with all the dazzling, melodramatic, and perfectly Meroron-like joy you deserve
And sorry for posting late again
And so we have covered all Idol precure birthdays this year!
Everyone, let's raise a glass to Aguri Madoka! While perhaps she's consistently ranked as a respectable Decent C-Tier fighter when stacking up against the entire Precure franchise, her performance as Cure Ace is always solid. She embodies the power of disciplined love, and her fiery dedication makes her one of the most reliable and effective members of the Doki Doki team. Happy Birthday, Aguri!
Cure Ace's placement in C-Tier often stems from her controversial introduction and initial personality. She appeared abruptly, seemingly "stealing" the expected spot of another character (Regina), which frustrated many fans. Furthermore, her early portrayal as a bossy and arrogant mentor figure who actively criticized the main Cures and even removed one's powers was off-putting and created a massive hurdle for viewer likability. While her character mellows out later and her backstory is explored, the messy, unearned debut and unlikable behavior during her first half are often cited as reasons for her lower ranking.
Cure Dream, or Nozomi Yumehara, is a classic and foundational leader in the franchise. Her unofficial fan-celebrated birthday is November 8th, which is celebrated on the GoGo Movie! Let's celebrate her! 🎂 A Birthday Speech for Cure Dream (Nozomi Yumehara) "Alright everyone, quiet down! Let's raise a cheer for the girl who truly embodies the word hope—our dazzling leader, Nozomi Yumehara, Cure Dream! Nozomi, from the moment you chased a butterfly and tumbled headfirst into a life-changing adventure, you’ve taught us all that 'no matter what, you never give up!' You may not be the top of the class—in fact, you might be at the bottom—but your greatest power isn't in a textbook; it's in your heart. You see the best in every person, in every situation, and that boundless, infectious energy is what brought the Yes! Pretty Cure 5 team together and what makes us unstoppable. You’ve shown us that a true leader doesn't have to be perfect. A true leader is the one who stands up when everyone else is ready to fall, who dreams the biggest dream, and who inspires everyone around her to reach for their own happy ending. So, let's toast to Nozomi: the friend, the leader, the dreamer, and the absolute embodiment of the great power of hope! Happy Birthday, Nozomi! Dream power, go!" 🌟 The Cure Dream Rating: 7/10 To rate Cure Dream is to acknowledge her immense strengths as a leader while recognizing the specific flaws that define her journey and growth. She earns a solid 7 out of 10 for being a fantastic, foundational character, but one with deliberate weaknesses. 👍 Pros (The Reasons for the High Score) | Trait | Description | Impact on the Score | |---|---|---| | Boundless Hope & Optimism | Her defining characteristic. She can find a silver lining in any defeat and consistently motivates the team, making her an inspirational leader. | +2 Points | | Pure, Instinctive Courage | She never hesitates to protect her friends or strangers. Her bravery is not learned; it's the heart of her personality, making her the first to stand and fight. | +1 Point | | Powerful Group Leader | She is arguably the most essential leader in the franchise. She doesn't just fight; she actively unites her diverse and often clashing teammates. | +1 Point | | Emotional Maturity in Crisis | While ditzy in civilian form, she becomes incredibly focused, empathetic, and responsible as Cure Dream, demonstrating great growth and leadership under pressure. | +1 Point | 👎 Cons (The Reasons for the Deduction) | Trait | Description | Impact on the Score | |---|---|---| | Academic/Focus Flaws | She is consistently portrayed as clumsy, easily distracted, and a poor student (her catchphrase is often a stand-in for lack of a real plan). This is her main character weakness. | -1 Point | | Initial Lacks a Personal Dream | Her initial motivation is vague (to find a dream/goal), which, while a powerful concept, makes her less defined than teammates like Rin (sports) or Urara (acting) early on. | -1 Point | | Leadership Dependence | Her power and confidence often rely heavily on her friends and Coco's validation. While teamwork is key, she sometimes struggles to make unilateral decisions without input. | -1 Point |
💖 Hugtto! Precure: A Near-Perfect Season 💖 Hugtto! Precure deserves its status as a near-perfect entry, earning a solid 9/10, primarily due to its masterful integration of complex character development, a cohesive and emotionally resonant storyline, and a powerful, satisfying expansion right through to the finale. The series excels by grounding its magical premise in mature, relatable themes, most notably the struggles and triumphs of defining one's future and embracing adulthood. Each Cure, particularly the protagonist Hana Nono (Cure Yell), undergoes a profound journey; Hana must learn to accept her own anxieties and perceived flaws, transforming from a girl trying too hard to be "mature" into a true source of genuine encouragement and "yell" for others. This development is mirrored in her teammates: Saaya overcomes stage fright to find her medical calling, Homare resolves trauma to take flight as a figure skater, and the duo of Emiru and Ruru explore themes of sibling love, identity, and humanity, with Ruru's arc as a former emotionless android being a standout depiction of finding one's soul. The overarching storyline ties directly into this character work, with the Criasu Corporation acting as a brilliant metaphorical antagonist representing the soul-crushing despair of a future denied or frozen in place. The season sustains and expands this narrative beautifully; it doesn't just defeat weekly monsters but slowly unveils the chilling, personal connection between the Cures, their enemies, and the central mystery of the baby Hugtan and the enigmatic figure of George Kurai. By the final arc, the stakes are not just global but deeply emotional, culminating in a spectacular, time-spanning climax that affirms the show's core message—that "everyone's tomorrow is worth protecting"—and delivers a deeply moving, definitive conclusion that provides powerful, future-facing closure for every single main character.
I also enjoyed the former villains of Criasu Corporation having normal lives and was pleasant to see them as kids in the final episode which were determined to have their own Corporation just Hana herself in 2030 (I put what I see in the series, not all I put is accurate)
Downsides of the season: Cure Tomorrow's Role: The identity of Hugtan as Cure Tomorrow, while a satisfying reveal, is seen as a missed opportunity. Some fans wanted to see Cure Tomorrow fight alongside Cure Yell as an adult in the present-day timeline to fully realize the "future" theme, rather than just using the past form of the baby.
Homare (Cure Etoile): While she has a great early arc dealing with trauma and figure skating, her character designs as a precure is what made me favor the others, she enjoys ice skating, but her precure theme was confusing for some of the audience, her design resembling likely a flight attendant.
Saaya (Cure Ange): I love lots of things about her[Not because she is a blue Cure]..but because her defense ability lacks in the series, sure she has her shielding, but she fails to use it most of the time being, causing my opinions on her to be lower
Despite these flaws, the season's successful handling of its main themes, Hana's exceptional development, and the emotional impact of the finale are typically seen as strong enough to override these issues, which is why it maintains its status as one of the best.
Overall Score:(9/10)
