Suicide prevention isn’t only about knowing what to do in a crisis. It’s also about creating spaces where people feel safe enough to say, “I’m not okay.”
A few things we can all do:

1. Listen without immediately trying to fix it.
You don’t need to have the perfect answer. Sometimes, being present and listening without judgement matters more.
2. Ask directly.
If you’re worried about someone, you can ask:
“Are you thinking about hurting yourself?”
Asking directly does not put the idea in someone’s head. It can open a conversation that might otherwise never happen.
3. Take them seriously.
Don’t dismiss their feelings with things like “You have so much to be grateful for” or “Things will get better.”
You don’t have to understand exactly how they feel to take their pain seriously.
4. Stay connected.
Let them know they don’t have to handle everything alone. Sit with them, check in later, and help them connect with appropriate support.
5. Encourage professional help.
You don’t have to become someone’s therapist. You can help them reach one.

And if you are the one struggling:
You don’t have to wait until things become unbearable to reach out. Telling someone “I’m not doing okay” is enough of a reason to ask for support. 🤍

If you’re not in immediate danger but have been struggling for a while, therapy can give you a safe, confidential space to talk about what you’re carrying and understand it more deeply.
💌 If you’d like to explore therapy with me, you can comment or use the Start Here form in my bio.
Starting the conversation can be the first step. 🤍

Sometimes, a mouth ulcer is “just an ulcer” — but when it is deep, painful, recurrent, or interfering with eating, it deserves a closer look. 🩺

The experience shared in this post is one patient’s individual experience. Every case is different, and the response to treatment can vary from person to person.

That’s why I don’t believe in treating every mouth ulcer with the same approach.

During a consultation, I look at the individual picture — including the nature and location of the ulcer, associated symptoms, recurrence, triggers, general health, lifestyle and other relevant factors — before deciding on an individualized management plan.

🌿 Individualized classical homoeopathic care
🥗 Nutrition & lifestyle guidance when relevant
🧠 Understanding the role of stress and emotional health
✨ A plan tailored to the individual, rather than just the symptom

If you’re dealing with recurrent, painful or persistent mouth ulcers and want to discuss your case:

📩 Comment “ULCER” below to enquire about a consultation.

This post is for educational purposes and shares an individual patient experience. It is not a guarantee of treatment outcomes. Persistent, recurrent, unusually large/deep or non-healing oral ulcers should be medically evaluated.

We often ask, “Is the baby okay?”

But how often do we ask…

“Is the mother okay?”

As a paediatrician, I meet many mothers who have continued breastfeeding well into the toddler years—not because they want to, but because they feel they have to.

They’re exhausted.
They’re sleep deprived.
Their body needs rest.
Yet they keep going because they fear being judged as a “bad mother.”

Here’s what I want every mother to know:

🤍 Your well-being matters too.

If breastfeeding is still working beautifully for both you and your toddler, that’s wonderful. There is absolutely nothing wrong with continuing.

But if you are constantly exhausted, emotionally overwhelmed, physically drained, or continuing only because of guilt, you are allowed to pause, seek help, or start planning a gentle weaning process.

Taking care of yourself is not selfish.

A healthy, emotionally supported mother is one of the greatest gifts a child can have.

Every family is different. There is no one “perfect” timeline. The right decision is the one that supports both the child and the mother.

If you’re struggling, don’t carry that burden alone. Speak with your healthcare provider, ask for support from your family, and remember—you deserve care too. ❤️

💬 Mothers, I would love to hear from you. What has been the hardest part of your breastfeeding journey?

Your story may help another mother feel less alone.

Exam stress is normal.

But sometimes the fear becomes much bigger than the exam itself.

As parents, our first instinct is often to motivate:

“Work harder.”
“Don’t think so much.”
“Everyone has exams.”

But children don’t always need more motivation.

Sometimes they need someone to understand what’s making the exam feel so frightening.

When children feel emotionally safe, they’re better able to learn, remember, and cope with challenges.

If your child’s stress feels overwhelming, persistent, or starts affecting sleep, appetite, health, or daily life, it may be time to seek support rather than waiting for it to “go away on its own.”

🌿 Supporting your child’s mental wellbeing is just as important as supporting their academic success.

If you’re concerned about your child’s emotional health, you can reach out to me or book a consultation through the link in my bio.

Feeling incredibly grateful to share that I submitted my MD dissertation yesterday—coincidentally, on Doctor’s Day. ❤️

Looking back, it’s hard to believe how far this journey has come. From spending weeks searching for the right research topic, to finally choosing Down syndrome, and now successfully completing my dissertation—it has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my academic life.

This research was much more than a dissertation. It gave me the opportunity to work closely with children with Down syndrome at NIEPID and through various health camps. Watching these children grow, learn, and make meaningful progress was a deeply humbling experience.

As a homoeopathic physician, I witnessed something that strengthened my belief in individualized medicine. What many call “miracles,” I experienced as the result of careful observation, patience, and the science of homoeopathy, unfolding one case at a time.

This journey would never have been possible without the guidance and encouragement of my mentors.

My heartfelt gratitude to my guide Dr. Ritu Gontiya Ma’am, my HOD Dr. Puneet Garg Sir, and my PG In-charge Dr. Ashwini Nair Ma’am, for constantly pushing me to think deeper, work harder, and become a better clinician and researcher.

A sincere thank you to our respected Principal Dr. C. P. Sharma Sir and Bakson Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital for providing invaluable opportunities like working at the esteemed National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (NIEPID).

I’m equally grateful to my colleagues, who were always there to discuss difficult cases and offer support, and to my family and friends, whose encouragement kept me going through every phase of this journey.

Above all, I thank God Almighty for being my constant source of strength, guidance, and light.

This may be the end of my dissertation, but it is only the beginning of many more questions to explore, patients to learn from, and contributions to make.

Here’s to lifelong learning, meaningful research, and serving patients with compassion. 🌿

Endometrial polyps can affect many women through symptoms like irregular bleeding, heavy periods, pelvic discomfort, and hormonal disturbances — often impacting daily life more than people realize.

Happy to share that our case report:

“Usefulness of Individualized Homoeopathic Medicine in the Management of Endometrial Polyp: A Case Report”

has been published in the KNOW Homoeopathy Journal (Indexed & Peer-Reviewed).

The report focuses on individualized homoeopathic treatment and the importance of understanding the patient beyond just the diagnosis or local pathology.

Research and case documentation are important for growing evidence-based homoeopathic literature and encouraging deeper clinical understanding.

Small step forward in learning, research, and contribution to homoeopathy ✨

PMOS.
A name that reflects a bigger picture.

What was once called PCOS is now being referred to as PMOS — because the condition is not just about ovarian cysts.

It affects the whole body:
• hormones
• metabolism
• insulin resistance
• inflammation
• stress patterns
• energy and mood

Many women struggling with PMOS experience:
– irregular periods
– acne & hair fall
– weight fluctuations
– fatigue
– mood changes

And often feel misunderstood because the symptoms seem “unrelated”.

But they’re connected.

That’s why management also needs a broader, more holistic approach — not just symptom suppression.

Lifestyle, sleep, nutrition, stress regulation, hormonal balance, and individualized care all matter.

Homoeopathy can help by understanding the whole pattern, not just one symptom in isolation.

Because every woman’s experience is different.
