I have seen many people saying things like, โDonโt celebrate Christmas, itโs not our festival,โ or โParents shouldnโt give gifts to their children,โ and so on. We should respect every religion. Personally, I donโt do much on Christmas. My dad just puts a chocolate under my pillow, and thatโs how my Christmas looks. But at least I respect othersโ festivals, and I expect the same respect from everyone. My parents never told me to disrespect others religion. India is a secular country where every religion should be respected equally. Iโm not saying everyone must celebrate Christmas or go to church,do it only if you want to. But at least donโt provoke others. Sikhs also celebrate Diwali, and no one says, โYou are Sikh, so why are you celebrating Diwali?โ Then why do some people tell others not to celebrate Christmas? Christians in India celebrate Christmas just like Diwali is celebrated by others. It is one of their biggest festivals. Some people are provoking others not to celebrate Christmas. I am not a Christian, but that doesnโt mean I wonโt respect them or tell others not to celebrate their festivals. If you donโt want to celebrate, thatโs completely fine but please donโt provoke others. If a kid can think like this,then why don't adults ? Merry Christmas everyone ๐
