Life With The Singhs

Hey fam fam, let’s talk about it. Pregnancy at the age of 47… what does it really feel like? I’m not gonna lie, sometimes it feels like you wanna take a long nap… a very, very long nap šŸ˜šŸ˜‚

It is definitely a different experience in my late 40s. I am more tired, but I am also more blessed. Blessed to be able to hold a new life in my heart. Blessed to be able to raise another generation of our family.

I know some people look at children as an inconvenience… something that’s gonna mess up their vacations, their trips, their time, and all the things they wanna do in life. Listen, everybody lives their own version of life, and that’s their choice.

But for me? My children are not an inconvenience.

I live a selfless life. I live a life where I get to nurture someone else, pour into them, share my life with them, and love on them. That is what being a mom at 47 looks like for me.

Yes, I’m tired. My body is tired because it’s creating a whole new life in here by the grace of God. I can’t work out at the gym the way I used to right now, but I am thankful. Truly thankful for this opportunity and this experience at 47 years old.

ā€œThis is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.ā€
Psalm 118:23 NKJV ✨

Motherhood has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.

So tell me, how are we doing? I hope you’re doing well. I hope you’re looking around and counting your blessings with kids or no kids your still BLESSED! And I hope you’re embracing the life God has given you. If you have breath in your body today, you are blessed ā¤ļø

Life With The Singhs

Hey Fam Fam šŸ’›

Let me tell y’all… this weekend definitely reminded me that mom duties never stop 😩

I ended up in the ER this weekend with my soon to be 17 year old son because he had been dealing with a sore throat for about four days. Usually I assume things like that are viral and will pass, but then he came downstairs saying the pain was worse and that his throat felt tight, so of course mama mode immediately kicked in and off to the ER we went.

After about three hours sitting there, they swabbed him for strep and thankfully everything came back viral. They told us warm tea, ibuprofen, rest, and he should be okay. Fast forward to now… he’s doing SO much better šŸ™ŒšŸ½

But whew y’all… after sitting in that ER for hours, my mom duties were MAXED OUT šŸ˜‚šŸ’›

That’s the thing about being parents though. We show up for our children no matter how tired we are. We pray over them. We worry about them. We lose sleep over them. And we love them with everything we have.

On another note, one of my sons recently came to me and said he wants to get into film and production šŸŽ„āœØ And honestly, I got excited hearing him talk about it. This upcoming school year we’re going to spend time learning filming, editing, production, and content creation together, and I think it’s going to be such a fun journey for him.

One thing I constantly teach my children is that there is NOTHING impossible for them to try in this life. Yes, you may fail at some things, but you can always get back up and try again. Failing while trying is far better than never trying at all.

I truly believe God places desires in our hearts for a reason. If there’s something in your heart to pursue, create, learn, or build, don’t ignore it.

And one scripture God has really had me holding onto these past few weeks is this:

ā€œThe soul of the lazy one craves and gets nothing, but the soul of the diligent is made prosperous.ā€ Proverbs 13:4

And another one:

ā€œWhoever works his land will have plenty of bread, but he who follows worthless pursuits lacks sense.ā€ Proverbs 12:11

I teach my children that diligence matters. Hard work matters. Consistency matters. When you diligently work at something, there will eventually be fruit from your labor 🌱

I hope this encourages somebody today šŸ’›

Have a wonderful Monday. God bless.

Life With The Singhs

Get out of that comfort zone, or y’all ain’t gonna thrive and grow. That is something that God has really been dealing with me on lately.

Hey Fam Fam ā¤ļø I hope you guys are having an amazing week so far.

Let’s just talk about it.

If you always stay where you are comfortable, and you’re afraid to try new things, and you’re afraid to put yourself out there… y’all ain’t gonna thrive and grow.

And that’s something God has really been dealing with me on.

I like to second guess myself and go through all the ā€œwhat ifs.ā€ And God was like… if you wanna do something nice for somebody, just do it. Stop worrying about the ā€œwhat if.ā€

If you wanna put yourself out there and tell people about the things that you do, what you’re creating, and trying to help others who may be going through the same things you’re going through on your path… stop worrying about what people are thinking.

Y’all ain’t gonna grow if you always stay stuck being comfortable. You ain’t gonna succeed if you never shake things up a little. You don’t wanna disturb the ground because you don’t wanna pick up a little dust and dirt.

But let me tell you something…

Every fruit tree started off as a seed, and that seed had to be planted. The dirt had to be disturbed. The ground had to be dug up for that seed to be planted, grow, and eventually produce fruit.

And honestly, life is the same way sometimes.

There are areas in our lives where God is trying to plant us so we can grow and bear fruit the way He intended. But sometimes, in order for that to happen, He has to take us out of our comfort zone. He has to shake up the dirt around us a little.

And sometimes that shaking feels uncomfortable. Sometimes it feels messy. Sometimes it feels uncertain.

But maybe God is disturbing the ground around you because He’s trying to plant you somewhere greater than where you’ve been ā¤ļø

So forget the naysayers in life.
Forget the whiners.
Forget the complainers.

Go and do what God called you to do.

ā€œHave I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.ā€ Joshua 1:9 ✨

I hope you guys have an amazing week.

Love you guys always ā¤ļø

Life With The Singhs

Hey Fam Fam šŸ’›

So I’m sitting here thinking about this, and I know this is a subject that can be really divided.

But for those that are Christians, they understand. And for those that connect with me and engage with my content that are not Christians, listen… we are here to share our faith with you guys. We are not Bible thumpers. We are not slapping the Word of God upside anybody’s head. God gave every single person free will and the choice to believe or not believe.

But one thing we WILL do over here is share our faith unapologetically. ā˜ŗļø

And one thing I wanted to address is something I keep seeing in comments and community groups where people say:
ā€œIf God is God, why did this bad thing happen?ā€
ā€œIf God is real, why did He allow this?ā€
ā€œWhy did this happen if God exists?ā€

But here’s the reality…

We live in a fallen world full of sin, pain, sickness, heartbreak, loss, and consequences. Bad things happen in this world because sin entered this world. Christians are not exempt from hard times either.

But what stands out to me is people that never lived for Jesus, never acknowledged God, never believed in Him, never wanted anything to do with Him… but the moment something goes wrong in their life, suddenly it becomes:
ā€œWhere was God?ā€

But you never acknowledged who He was before the storm.

You never served Him before things got hard.

Meanwhile, a Christian can go through the SAME loss…
Loss of finances.
Loss of a loved one.
Sickness.
Miscarriage.
Heartbreak.
Pain.

And still stand there and say:
ā€œHe is still God.ā€

Why?

Because Christians do not serve God only for what He can do for us. We serve Him because He IS God.

He is the giver of life.
He is the one that gave us breath.
He is the one walking with us through both the good times and the hard times.

And even when we do not understand things, we still trust Him.

The Bible says:
ā€œMany are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.ā€ Psalm 34:19

That deliverance may come through peace.
Sometimes hope.
Sometimes physical healing.
Sometimes strength to keep going.
And sometimes not in the way we expected at all.

But God has His reasons for everything.

And we still serve Him because He is God, not because of what He can materially do for us on this earth.

I think that’s what some people are missing.

We serve Him because He took our sins upon Himself on the cross so that when we take our last breath here, our story is not over.

Our life continues on with Him.

That is where our salvation is secure.

As believers, we know this earth is temporary. We go through sadness. We go through joy. We go through pain. But He walks us through all of it.

And the most powerful part of our faith is knowing that when we close our eyes for the last time here on earth, we are with Him.

We are NOT separated from God.
We are NOT spending eternity in darkness separated from His presence.

THAT is the purpose of the cross.

Not just what God can do for you here on earth.
Not just blessings.
Not just miracles.

But salvation.

And if you are an unbeliever struggling to understand who God is, understand this:
The cross was about saving us from eternal separation from God.

That is why Christians still praise Him in the middle of suffering.
That is why Christians still worship Him in hard times.
That is why even through pain we still say:
ā€œHe is still God.ā€ šŸ’›

Life With The Singhs

Hey Fam Fam and Happy Tuesday ā˜€ļø
Your girl has been busy behind the scenes working on some projects for this channel… but I’m always here to drop a little encouragement šŸ’›

ā€œA man who has friends must himself be friendlyā€¦ā€ Proverbs 18:24

Y’all, real friends are not easy to find. In this life, you might come across one or two strong, genuine friendships. But to have good friends, you have to be a good friend too.

For me, I’m that friend. I got your back. But I don’t do one sided friendships. I don’t do one sided communication or pouring into people who aren’t pouring back.

Like I always say… don’t play in my face 🤣
I’ll love you from a distance and move on to the ones who truly understand what friendship means.

Can I get one of those David and Jonathan type friendships? ā˜ŗļø
That real, loyal, ride or die kind of love.

If anything, keep showing up for your friends. Keep pouring into each other. Because you know it’s a TRUE friendship when you sharpen one another and it’s not draining.

ā€œAs iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.ā€ Proverbs 27:17

Life With The Singhs

Hey fam fam šŸ’•

Listen, I know I just dropped a post this morning, but this is something God has really been placing heavy on my heart… for those that are dealing with depression and hopelessness.

One thing God spoke to me about is this…
What are you meditating on?
What are you filling your mind with?

And don’t go weird on me when I say meditate. I’m talking about meditating on the Word of God. Sitting, reading, and truly filling yourself up. Because the Bible tells us to think on things that are good, things that are lovely, things that are of a good report (Philippians 4:8).

And the Word also tells us that when you meditate on it day and night, you’ll be like a tree planted by the water, rooted, steady, and fruitful (Psalm 1:2–3).

But let’s be real for a second… a lot of what we deal with comes from anxiety and worry.
The Bible even shows us that anxiety weighs a person down (Proverbs 12:25).

Are you worried about your bills?
Your health?
Your children?
Your future?
Your job?

I want to challenge you today… what are you doing with those worries?

Because the Word tells us to cast all our cares on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). And it also says to not be anxious about anything, but in everything, through prayer and supplication, make your requests known to God… and His peace, the kind that surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and your mind (Philippians 4:6–7).

So if you’re battling right now, I need you to pause and reassess…
What are you feeding your mind daily?
What are you binge watching?
What are you constantly listening to?

Sometimes it’s time for a shift.

The Word of God is what renews your mind (Romans 12:2). That’s what changes you. That’s what breaks strongholds and shifts your perspective. It’s powerful. It’s not just words… it does something in you.

So here’s what I want you to do:
Give those anxieties to God.
Let Him carry what you were never meant to hold.
Let Him give you peace.

And from this moment forward, be mindful of what you are allowing into your heart and your mind. Start soaking yourself in God. Hide yourself in Him. Surround yourself with His presence.

And also hear me on this… don’t always make yourself available for everyone’s drama. Be compassionate, yes. But sometimes the most loving thing you can do is listen, pray, and point them to God… or even encourage them to get the help they need. Not everything is yours to carry.

I hope you have a beautiful, peaceful morning. I love you šŸ’•

Life With The Singhs

Hey fam fam šŸ’—

If you know me, you know I’m a large family momma, and I truly love coming on here to encourage you all daily. No matter what stage of life you’re in or what you’re going through, my heart is always to uplift you.

Today, I especially want to encourage all the parents out there… moms, dads, foster parents, adoptive parents. However you became a parent, you are doing it, and that matters more than you know šŸ™ŒšŸ½

One thing people always ask me is, ā€œHow do you manage with so many kids?ā€ And the truth is, I’m very intentional. I make time for each group… the younger kids, the middle kids, and the older kids.

Today was an older kid kind of day šŸ’—
I spent time with my 22 year old and my 20 year old over a little brunch, just connecting and being present. And I cherish those moments so much. ( Rest the kiddos had Starbucks frappes delivered by us šŸ˜‚šŸ«¢)

I’ll be honest… one thing that tugs at my heart is knowing that one day they’ll all be out the door, starting families of their own. It’s a whole new season. It’s bittersweet. But at the same time, there’s so much joy in watching them grow, flourish, and walk in what God has called them to do ✨

So I just want to remind you… pray over your children. Pray, pray, pray šŸ™šŸ½
This world can be a lot, but God’s covering hand is always greater.
Numbers 6:24-26
ā€œThe Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.ā€

Hope you all have an amazing Thursday šŸ’—

Life With The Singhs

Absolutely, no one could have ever told me that I would grow up, become an adult, and be responsible for raising 8 children soon to be 9 with nine different personalities. But God knew best. 🄹

Hey fam fam šŸ’•

In my youth, I was definitely a wildflower 🌸 A little crazy, a little all over the place, but God got a hold of me. He knew my heart. He knew I had a heart for souls, a heart for encouragement, and a heart that loves to see the best in people. šŸ’›

One thing I truly love about God is this: He sees the best in us even when we fall, even when we mess up, and even when we don’t get it right. šŸ™ŒšŸ½ He is so faithful to love us, draw us back to Him, and clean us up.

That doesn’t mean we stay in the mess. No ma’am. It means we get back up, let God renew our minds, and keep walking with Christ.

The Bible says:

ā€œThe steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.ā€
Psalm 37:23

So even when life feels dark, confusing, or heavy, you can trust that God is still directing your steps. And if you fall, He is faithful to pick you back up and carry you through.

My life journey didn’t start off perfect, but oh boy, God has surely always come through.

So if you’re going through something right now, remember this:

ā€œAnd we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.ā€
Romans 8:28

God is faithful. Place your life in His hands and trust Him with all your heart. šŸ’›

Love God. Love people.

Life With The Singhs

Y’all, I feel like I’m in my ā€œI don’t give a rat’s behindā€ era šŸ˜‚

Hey Fam Fam ā¤ļøā¤ļø
So y’all know I just had my 12-week checkup…

First off, shoutout to my OB, super sweet, amazing doctor. Love him šŸ‘šŸ½

Now listen…

He starts explaining why women at my big grown age (yes, 47 😌) usually do genetic testing in pregnancy šŸ˜—

I told that man real calm…
ā€œNo thank you. That would stress me out more than help me.ā€

He said okay and kept it moving. Respect āœ”ļø

Then he goes…
ā€œWell, we’ll need to schedule a Level 2 ultrasound.ā€

Cool. No problem.

FAST FORWARD…

I get the call to schedule it for June when I hit 20 weeks.
She says, ā€œWe’ll also need to schedule a consultation after… it’ll be on Zoom.ā€

I said… I don’t do Zoom šŸ˜…

She goes, ā€œWell, we do have a location about 45 minutes away for in person consultations with the specialist ā€œ

Y’all… I just started laughing. Not even trying to be rude… I just couldn’t help it 😭

I said, ā€œLet’s just do the scan. My doctor can go over the results with me whenever I see him next.ā€

Because listen…

This ain’t my first rodeo.
I’ve had babies. I know my body.
We’re gonna do what’s necessary, and leave the extra alone.

I’m 47, pregnant with baby #9, and this right here is by the grace of God šŸ™ŒšŸ½

And one thing about this season of life? When you hit above the AGE of 40, your patience is low, you ain’t going with the flow, your older and cranky šŸ™ƒ

I am fully in my
ā€œI don’t give a damn, and no means noā€ era 😌

If I said I’m not doing it… I’m not doing it.

Anybody else hit that stage where peace > people pleasing? Because when you hit your 40’s you just ain’t saying yes to much anymore šŸ˜‚šŸ˜©
