Realistically, right now, musically — I’m nobody (that’ll change) point is, maybe I shouldn’t even be putting out a tape. But I made this: #AnotherButterfly.
I’ve been writing for a while now, and at some point, I lost something. A lot of incomplete works… This was me finding that thing I lost. This was me seeing something through. This was me finding my drive again.
Distractions I cut for this. Time I gave for this — and more. This is part of my story.
When I think about what my friends say, friend who once told me my story could inspire a lot of people (so much so I ended up in the newspaper) — I wasn’t ready for that.
But despite what he said, I still found myself unsure. Often I felt lost. Often I told myself I don’t belong. Often I felt a little too different. Often I felt like dreamt too much.
So I made this for me. I made this for the ones who believed in me, no matter how many times I picked this up then disappeared like it’s a game.
This not a game. For real. Ain’t no cap in my raps — put that on God.
There’s a lot of folks I gotta thank for helping me complete this project — I’ll do that over time.
