Soft Tissue Therapy + Restorative Training
Many manual therapists careers will expire premature do to burnout. I don't believe this happens because of the demand of the work but instead of a loss of inspiration and instruction. My career in manual therapy over the last 14 years has been an evolution of figuring out how to remodel tissue and then train that tissue to give the client their desired outcome for their goals. While I tend to specialize in the athletic population at the end of the day the day one human body is just as miraculous as another.

“I will take a couple weeks off to let things calm down”
“I will rest to let the inflammation go down”
1️⃣ Rest creates a cycle of disuse leading to atrophy and loss of neuromuscular intelligence.
2️⃣ Pain does not always equal inflammation. When we make pain and inflammation interchangeable you will be more likely to rest and immobilize that area. Inflammation is WAY over used in rehab often with little to no signs of it.
3️⃣ Selecting exercises you can still do while in pain can help maintain what you already have, build confidence in your body, and trigger a cascade benefits impacting the circulatory system, lymphatic system, and fascia.
