Mappy isn't the only Namco IP getting a new web series. A new Pac-Man series called Pac-Man: Snack Breaks will be hitting YouTube on May 22. Unlike Mappy, this won't be Japan only.
From the teaser trailer, the animation is so fluid and the overall art style is very gorgeous. I'm especially looking forward to this when it comes out.
My next Blu-ray Showcase videos will be the 4K release of Cinderella and the 60th Anniversary edition of Alice in Wonderland. I want to make those before I cover the 4K release of Alice when it comes out (now available to preorder).
I apologize if it seems like I'm only making Showcase videos right now. I got extremely burned out last year. Especially since I had to take more classes than usual for the last two semesters, few of them were very demanding and ate up a lot of my time. DVD and Blu-ray Showcases are much easier for me to make since they're non-scripted and require very little editing, which is why you've been seeing more of them right now. It was the only way I could keep this channel somewhat active and keep earning ad revenue. Since I don't have to take a summer semester this year, hopefully this means I can get back to making other video styles soon but only time will tell.
Also before anyone asks, yes I am aware that "The Big D" has laid off the home entertainment staff. I personally refuse to go into detail about it since every discussion I've read about it has been nothing but speculation, some of it (I'll admit) makes me extremely depressed. All we really know is that Disney on physical media will at least still be a thing.
While I much prefer the way Professor Coldheart looks in the TV specials, I do love how the Kenner figure adds a collar around the back of his head. I think it makes Coldheart look more wicked, and gives him a more threatening aura than he already has. So I edited some screenshots to give you an idea of what an animated version would look like with the collar.
They've officially announced the 4K release of Alice in Wonderland today. It'll be released in North America on May 5.
Screenshots of the 4K remaster do exist. From what I've seen, it looks amazing. The remaster will also be screened at the TCM Film Festival on May 1.
Alice isn't one of my favorite Disney films, but I'm happy to see another Walt-era film get a high quality remaster treatment. Erasing the mistakes that were made on the old Blu-ray releases in the process.
The Japanese Disney website announced that a brand new restoration of Alice in Wonderland will be released on 4K Blu-ray on June 3rd. No announcements have been made for other countries yet, though we might get one soon.

The inconsistent quality of Cartoon Network's complete series DVDs needs to be studied.
Unless WB fixes all these issues, don't expect to see me do a DVD showcase on the Amazing World of Gumball anytime soon.

Looks like we are getting a Blu-ray release after all. Now if only Warner Archive could do this with Cartoon Network's HD shows.
