Afraid. Exhausted. Helpless.
Being cornered by circumstances to a point where there seemed no way possible to go any further, amongst all those mixed feelings, Elijah got … hopeless.
What kind of person would beg to die?

Where there seemed no hope at all, yet an angel appeared.
Offered him food and drink, to recover his energy, allowing him to just rest.
Also with gentle reminder, that "the journey is too great".
So he did.
Rest.
Restore.
And reembark on the journey.
It is a journey of transformation.
A journey of upcoming breakthrough.

While I was producing this episode, I happen to be in the middle of a journey encountering personal hardships.
Nothing compares to Elijah's though, however I could taste those feelings he went through.
While meditating upon the story, I had been greatly comforted and see God's heart - it's a heart of a loving father; a master of mercy and grace, who knows his loyal servant inside out; the deeds and the feelings are not irrelevant to Him.

The story of the prophet travels thousands years, yet the truth stays unchanged.
God knows each single step we are taking.
He sees.
He hears.
God always knows.
No journey is too long.
No battle is too big.
Trust in Him.

In the story, the angel was accompanying Elijah, reminding him that he was never alone.
Even when it seemed like that.
It was not the whole picture yet.
Angels have been sent to me too going through the process, watching over for me, in one way or another.

The busyness of life gets us hyped, and confused with illusions at times.

We can get tricked into self-assurance even, that we are working hard for something promising.
And most of the time we are. (working hard)

However we might not.( for the promising)
If — what truly matters is being neglected.
Like love.
Like kindness.
Like forgiveness.
Like… being a good human being.

“Well, I’ll do it next time.”

The thing is.
What if…there is no next time ? 🧐

Hi dear friends who are still here, how's your week been?

A new episode of the Book of Romans series has been released. I love it, such a great reminder of acceptance by, reconciliation with and grace from God Christ Jesus. Touched while reading "the free gift is not like the trespass"(Ro5:15), and very encouraged reading through "we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces character, and character produces hope"(Ro5:3-4). Truth simple yet beautiful, isn't it? I've got highlights of this chapter. 😊✨

This episode is a product out of spontaneity. :)

In this particular chapter, 11th of Hebrews, it talks about about faith. Just as most of the time, I have been greatly comforted and encouraged through the words. Again I was touched by those gentle reminders, and was guided to set my eyes, minds, heart on the heavenly destination. Reminded that through the surroundings circumstances, what brought me out at the first place and what drew me towards ultimately. In the middle of transformation it is always with discomfort, and it’s completely okay. Faithful is God. Merciful is God. Gracious is God. Good is God. Grateful for having the words accompanied along the way.

The past week my body didn’t get proper rest and the weekend was not as helpful. Somehow I knew the body was just signaling for something more significant, something that I needed to be attentive to. Physically. Emotionally. Spiritually.
Among the busyness of all things, I just need to rest.
Rest in the arms of heavenly father. Rest on the green pastures. By the side of the Lord.
The Sunday sermon touched upon the 3 important habits, REST being one of them. I decide to practice more.

The Chinese edition speaks different volume, verse 13-16 in particular, somehow louder and deeper to me this time, so I include it together with those verses in English.
