Life of raising chickens, ducks, and goats, becoming more self-sufficient, and the journey along the way. This is my homestead, and I am The Chicken Tender (as I have been referred).
My wife and I purchased this property in 2020 to get out of the suburban setting (I have always preferred the rural setting), and to have some land we can have a nice little homestead on, as well as raise our growing family. We are on exactly 1 acre of land, and we are on a well, so no more water bills from the city. I own a landscaping company, so I like to keep my greenery in check. Most of our property is manicured grass and plants.
We will build stuff, break stuff, make mistakes, and learn some lessons along the way. There’s always something happening here, so stay tuned as you never know what is going to unfold. This is The Cuckoo’s Nest at Elliott Farms.
