I’m Katie — I enjoy Moutain biking and lifting weights, focusing on getting stronger, riding better, and enjoying the process.
After over 10 years of training in the gym, competing in powerlifting and training martial arts, I’ve shifted my focus toward mountain biking, while still keeping strength work as part of my routine.
Expect trail rides, training that supports riding, and real-life fitness lifestyle content.

🚵♀️ New YouTube video is now live!
The Best Shape Of My Life Isn't What I Expected.
This is probably one of the most "me" videos I've made so far and gives a better idea of where I want to take the channel moving forward. It's always been a bit of a mixture, but I finally feel like I've found a direction.
Sometimes being in the best shape of your life isn't about perfection – it's about building a lifestyle you genuinely enjoy.
Hope you enjoy 🚵♀️💪

I've been a bit quiet on YouTube lately, but I've still been riding, training and planning future adventures. 🚵♀️
The last few weeks have been a mix of work, gym sessions, trail rides, heatstroke and trying to recover from a busy period, but I've finally got a new video nearly finished.
It's probably one of the most "me" videos I've made so far and gives a better idea of what this channel is all about moving forward because it’s always been a odd mixture of content but now I finally have some direction.
It'll be live this week! 👀😜
In the meantime, what have you all been up to lately?

This isn’t an easy post to write, but it’s an honest one.
Martial arts has been a huge part of my life for 8 years. Working up to a brown belt in Japanese Ju Jitsu and Purple in Kickboxing, and even stepping into an instructor role. It’s given me discipline, confidence, culture, and lifelong lessons I’ll always carry with me.
After retiring from powerlifting, I poured everything into earning my black belt and teaching more… but injuries started to stack up. Hip, neck, traps, upper back—each time I pushed through, I came back, and then got hurt again. I told myself I was “surviving the session,” but the truth is I stopped enjoying it. I felt constantly beat up, overwhelmed, and honestly… not well.
Trying to push through just for a black belt started to feel like the wrong trade-off. The risk isn’t not achieving it—it’s ending up unable to train anything at all long term.
During this time, I found my way back to the gym in a healthier way, rebuilding muscle and actually enjoying it again. I’ve also fallen more in love with mountain biking, while playing with some bouldering, and hiking.
Being involved in multiple sports has reminded me how valuable it is to train different systems—strength, endurance, coordination, recovery and keep things balanced and sustainable.
So after a lot of reflection, I’ve made the decision to step away from Japanese Ju Jitsu for a while.
This isn’t giving up. It’s choosing long-term health, enjoyment, and growth.
Thank you to everyone at Shinpo Martial Arts for the experience, support, and lessons over the years—I’m genuinely grateful for it all.
For now, I’m focusing on training in ways that keep me healthy, progressing, and excited again.

I did my 1st proper Enduro race on Sunday . I got 4th place out of 7 in my category. (I had to borrow my mates Ian’s bike for this).
Peak Enduros Round 1 was abit savage off a lot and died plus the weather got worse and I was one of the many to be towed off the campsite 🫣😂
I’ve gotta shit lot of footage and vlogs to edit up for youtube, and yeah, I’ve been slacking on actually getting it done 😅
Quick update 👇
Wales vlog was meant to drop Friday at 2pm… it’s still not ready. Ooops. But it will be out next Friday 2pm (GMT)
This one picks up a few days after my ride at Farmer John’s… where I stacked it and smashed my pubic bone.
Spoiler: I somehow manage to hit it again in this vlog 🤦♂️
Appreciate everyone supporting so far 🙌
And yeah—open to suggestions (keep them reasonable 😂)

Hey guys!
I'm aware that I've gotten a little behind with upload, but the next video is nearly finished 😁
I know I've said 1 video a week but I'd like to put more effort into my videos and not rush them
I've been way mixed with coaching and filming more content. You will still see the usual informative videos mixed with more adventurous and/ / normal vlog style content.
