What happens when a Woman gives up her Financial Independence?
- You give up your right to make decisions for yourself.
- You will be stuck with people who have different lifestyles than yours, maybe unpleasant.
This is why I've always made Financial Independence my Top Priority. Once you realise how liberating it is to be in charge of your Money, you and only you decide what you'll do with it, you'll not only make money but also start building wealth by investing.

It’s Social Media Day! 🥳 Had it not been for Social Media, I don’t think I would’ve started my Business(@semesstafashion) back in 2013. I built my business in my Pjs and that’s only been possible because of social media. Back then I had no clue my Business would take off the way it did, let alone have Celebrities spotted in our Brand. And now it lets me share my story and connect with so many wonderful people especially young girls who want to be the Boss of their Lives. What a journey it’s been ✨

I don’t know who needs to hear this but It’s okay to put on a Brave Face and keep going and keep hustling when life is tough, no matter what’s going on around you. Some people find peace in that. Having said that, it’s also totally okay to take a break and not hustle and not show up, for your mental peace. It’s okay to not be motivated and feel like a potato. 🥔
A story I posted the other day about letting a crack head hustle you out triggered someone. And she pointed out that she finds me motivating but this particular post is a little discouraging and some of us are going through a lot and this post is adding fuel to their grief because they then feel they’re not doing enough. Fair enough, I spoke to her and told her how I haven’t been feeling motivated as well but some of us have responsibilities and bills to pay. I put up a brave front so I can motivate someone. I haven’t been able to hustle either for quite some time and gave myself a break and now I’m back at it. She understood my point of view and I understood hers.
I know social media can be brutal, we’re all human at the end of the day. Don’t compare yourself with others. Do what you feel is right for you, put up a brave front or take a break, let’s not judge someone for the brave choice they make. ❤️
