Hiking with Rae

Hey yall we made it to Dubois safely! We’ve had a few days of resting the ankle and knees, and more importantly we got a new garmin (other one died on trail). Now we are forced to bypass the Dollar Lake Fire for our safety. The fire is within 2-3 miles of the trail and the next access point is covered in heavy smoke. Unfortunately we won’t get to experience the Wind River Range on this adventure but I believe everything happens for a reason. We are currently hitching to Lander and will hit the Basin starting tomorrow! I’ll keep you all updated! Thanks for following this crazy journey we are on! 😂

Hey everyone, is there anyone near Lima MT who could give us a ride to the nearest gear shop that sells hiking shoes? My mom’s heel is not doing well and we are thinking new shoes would be the next best option. Happy to pay for the ride. Thank you!!!

Looks like REI in Bozeman would be the closest, if possible!!
