I am a novice trying to restore classic cars - I love it. This channel is a vlog rather than a how to so I just take you through the work I am doing, showing my mistakes as well as successes. This is not a glossy channel - these are not professional videos and I am not a gifted restorer.

I've started taking out the Stag gearbox assembly and when withdrawing the gear lever I find no spring and plunger. Is that actually possible or have I lost it without realising. I have had a good hunt around the garage floor for them

From the White FHC TR7. I bought a new spring valve compressor and John took out a couple of springs, but the values remain well rusted in place. Lot's of WD40 to follow, probably with a wack from a mallet.

In a couple of weeks I'll be visiting my parents and we'll be doing some work on the white TR7. In preparation for striping the engine and trying to get it to turn my dad scraped some rust out of cylinder 4 and applied diesel to all cylinders. 1 and 2 drained in under 45 minutes (I don't know exact time) but 3 and 4 are being pestilent.

No video this week. Work has got in the way but I've managed a complete service of the MGBGT (oil and filter change, fuel filter replacement, air filter replacement, carbs adjustment, value adjustment, brake check and bleed, clutch bleed, grease into various places, steering racking top up etc. Only done oil and filter, brakes and clutch on Stag so far as I needed more grease to complete the job. And I gave them both their annual clean
