A person with more lipoprotein lipase (LPL) in their adipose tissue will store fat, while a person with more LPL in their skeletal muscle will burn fat. LPL is a key enzyme that determines where fats from the bloodstream are delivered: adipose tissue uses it for storage, while muscle tissue uses it for energy.

When LPL is elevated in fat tissue, it more efficiently takes up triglycerides from the blood and stores them as fat, which is linked to weight gain and weight regain.

When LPL is more active in muscle, it helps to take fatty acids from the blood and deliver them to the muscles for immediate energy use instead of storage.

One of the most underrated habits for your body and your brain is to walk 2 hours/day outside, in nature. Breathing in fresh air!!

Walking increases brain derived neurotrophic factor for cognitive function.

We are born for movement. It restores your body by increasing blood flow and reduces inflammation.
