With the Name of ʾAllāh, [Who is] the Universally, Ubiquitously and Absolutely Merciful, the Perfectly and Hyper-abundantly Merciful.

نحمده ونصلِّی ونسلم على رسوله الکریم

"Sin" in absolute terms pertains to any act that is against the command and Will of Allah Almighty. This will help you realize that the sin that is called Minor in terminology is not actually Minor. Disobedience to Allah Almighty and opposition to His Will is a very serious and severe crime in every situation, and opposition to His Will is a Major sin.

The distinction between major and minor sins is made only because of the mutual comparison and comparison of sins. In the same sense, it is narrated from Sayyidunā ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAbbās (may Allāh be pleased with him رضی الله عنه) that: *"کل ما نهی عنه فهو کبیرة"* meaning "All that is forbidden in the Sharīʿah of Islām is a major sin."

Conclusion: The sin that is called Ṣaghīrah (lit: Minor) in the specific terminology does not mean that one should be negligent or lazy in committing such sins and consider them insignificant and ignore them. Rather, if a Minor Sin is committed with impudence and carelessness, then even that Minor Sin becomes Major...

However, with regards to the corruption and the evil and harmful consequences of sins, a distinguishment between them is necessary. Because of this difference, some sins are called Major and others are called Minor.
