(Long Post, strap in) I saw Resident Evil today. I was gonna review it but I don't have alot to say so I'll just post my thoughts. It's a hard one to review because the last one was more "game accurate" but horrible where it mattered. Yet, this one was "far from accurate" yet a decent horror flick. It had some great moments that any fan of the games can point out like looking for ammo and random, crazy monsters. But it never felt like I was watching Resident Evil. Felt like a good monster movie that borrowed the name. It could've been called anything. If Umbrella and Raccoon City were never mentioned you'd never know it was Resident Evil. It had a bit too much comedy that felt out of place too (like the Umbrella guy in the car).
And the ending felt so sudden like the movie wasn't actually over. It needed something more. Maybe I need to watch it again, maybe I'll feel differently. But this is my current opinion. Definitely overhyped. A solid 6/10. Not a bad movie, not a great movie. I'm aware reviews have been great so I might be in the minority, but there you have it.

Hey @everyone a close friend of mine's house was struck by lightning yesterday and set on fire. Thankfully the whole family, including kids, and the dog are ok.
